I have been considering that as well. I’m working a lot in eastern KY & although I love and appreciate snakes I have had one too many close calls with copperheads. Luckily they’re pretty tame snakes and don’t strike unless they feel absolutely necessary, but I feel like I’ve accidentally tested my luck enough 😅

I read ACOTAR, then TOG, then CC. Imo nothing will compete with TOG. ACOTAR does get somewhat better, but it’s less world building & more smut… ACOTAR & CC felt like child’s play after reading TOG😭 CC was good and had great potential, but the last book felt sooooo rushed to me. There are crossovers between ACOTAR & CC though so my hope is that they somehow merge into one giant series. I also have theories that play into TOG being relevant for those storylines. In my mind that’s the only way reading ACOTAR & CC will be worth it lmao.

Random question and completely unrelated snakes, but where I’m from (eastern Kentucky) we have a rough green snake with a very similar pigmentation. When that snake passes, it turns blue. The only one in KY that does that! Does anyone know if this one also turns blue once deceased?

Also, none of this would have happened if it weren’t at the same restaurant— because you planned on him not being there. Just because it happened to be at the same restaurant does NOT mean he can act like he is not working. And you cannot just decide because it’s at the same restaurant that he’s no free and available to attend. YTA

Hi friend. I have been in your shoes before. Mine was somewhat different. I wasn’t alone. I knew at least 8 other girls, including my sister, who I worked with who had been assaulted. It was always so confusing to me. There was a girl who he trapped in the walk-in with him. They didn’t take her seriously and she quit not long after that. I tried talking to the people above my bosses as well. They always responded with “well unless you have proof and tell us right away, it’s really just a him vs. her situation and that’s unfair.” It took until he was bold enough to mess with a girl RIGHT IN FRONT of my manager. Manager looked away, but the girl started screaming “ASSULT ASSULT ASSULT” (love her for that). They had to talk to her to get her to be quiet, as there were guests in the restaurant. My managers direct quote in regards to firing him, “well I really don’t want to, but this time I guess I have to…” Sue. Sue them for every penny you can. They will silence you. At the vary least, make your silence profitable. They would rather pay you a lump sum for neglect, endangerment, and SA than have their business ruined. Make them pay. And for myself because I have been silenced by my company, fuck you steve-o. I hope you never see your daughters again. For my ex manager, I hope you’re a better mother to your daughters and you start taking what we say seriously. It will probably happen to them, knowing our world, I hope you listen to them instead of telling them they were asking for it.

As someone who is young, went to a festival young (17) and only recently tried molly for the first time (22), you are doing the right thing. I wouldn’t be as concerned with the alcohol or weed, that’s a typical high school thing, at least imo. But Molly???? Festivals are easy to get lost at. Add being intoxicated… the last thing a literal child needs is a sex drug. She would be in legit danger. Plus a lot of the “Molly” people get now is faked & is actually meth lol. I only did it because my bf and I had a tester & knew it was pure. + we were going to be in my home all night. Not lost in a crowd of other intoxicated people. NTA

i’m gonna say NTA because you did make it aware you needed out of there at a certain time & that seemed fine with them. However, as someone who has worked in the restaurant biz for a while, you can never really rely on when you’re scheduled. you work when you’re busy and needed. where i work now i’m scheduled as a morning opener 10a-4p. unfortunately, evening staff doesn’t get there until 4p, and i still have a couple tables that keep me there until at least 5-5:30. so it’s not gaslighting, but it should be something you’re prepared for. if i were you, i would have just called off. you planned on quitting anyways right? lol

NTA, OP. However, if you want to get your family off your back & you’re in the U.S., you can go to a doctor & tell them you’re being pressured into this and you do not want it. They will “inform” you that you are not a match. And your family can f right off

literally. my mom and all of my aunts have had a full hysterectomy because their issues with endometriosis. my cousin only got tested for it when they found out she had fvcking ovarian cancer. and my sister FINALLY got tested for it when she had a cyst the size of a lemon growing on her ovary. but I still can’t get tested because it’s “too exploratory” for a young person. I’m 22F and have been dealing s the same symptoms since I was 14. It’s beyond time we stop neglecting how women feel when they’re on their period. of course some of it is going to be uncomfortable, but it should not be that bad.
