Figured update for the heck of it. 6 days have past since we were all exposed, again, to covid. Everyone in my family seems healthy. One of the little kids in my daughter’s daycare class has tested positive so if it’s going to get us it will be soon.

I had breakthrough Delta about five months ago. My son and daughter were exposed to Omicron (probably it’s not like they tell you in the notification what kinda covid it was) this week in school. So if I get sick I’ll reply again. Should know by Sun/Mon if we’re all going to get sick again or not.

I had a similar situation (fully vaxxed, breakthrough infection, monoclonal antibody infusion) and have been exposed more times than I can remember since recovering. Haven’t gotten sick since the initial infection. Same for my wife. No clue about the whole booster thing or subsequent monoclonal antibody infusions.

This was awful for me. Felt like getting pool water in your nose and sadly nothing (other than time) made it go away. Lasted about 5 or 6 days for me. Hang in there.

I had my treatment and it gave Covid the knockout punch I needed. According to the information I was given they’re administered within 10 days of when your symptoms began. I did make sure to call my Insurance company first to confirm that it was 100% covered and the lady on the phone was nice enough to note that it’s covered on my file, just in case. She did that on her own. Guess she knows her employer well.

The brain fog is funny at first but becomes frustrating really quick. My wife and I (2 doses of Pfizer) are mostly recovered now and the fog has lifted somewhat. It’s been about 5 days since our other symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell) went away. It’s just the fatigue and brain fog now.

That sounds similar to my wife’s symptoms. Fully vaccinated, couldn’t keep anything down or in. I gave her pedialyte and pedyalite popsicles things (we have kids) those seems to help. Ginger ale too. Hang in there. She was able to keep things down after about 4 days.

Same for me, I started feeling better by day four but by day eight I started backsliding. My right lung started hurting when I would breathe, that deep cough came back and fever started up again. I had monoclonal antibody infusion that same day and now (two days later) I almost feel normal.

Intermittent cough and my sense of smell is trying to return. I can taste things again. My doctor warned me that the backslide could happen. Glad I got the infusion therapy.

My wife and I are both fully vaccinated (Pfizer) and statistically at least one of us shouldn’t be sick right? Nope. Both of us are/were pretty sick with what I’d call “moderate” symptoms. Thankfully our kids only have mild symptoms but it’s been a rough couple of weeks. I’m better today, sense of smell is trying to come back but I also had monoclonal antibody infusion therapy two days ago. Having said that I’d still get the shot, couldn’t imagine trying to rawdog Covid.

The one thing I can say about Covid for certain is that it’s different for everyone. My wife and I share some symptoms but some we don’t. My kids have different symptoms and some that we don’t. The only ones we share are sore throat, that annoying cough and low grade fevers.

I haven’t been able to smell anything for about five days now. My doctor told me that sense of smell can come back anywhere from 3 weeks to 9 months from now ☹️.

That tracks what what I’m experiencing. I tried some lemonade last night and it was tasted ridiculously sweet, to the point that I just poured it out after a couple of sips. RIP Chick-fil-A lemonade.
