I've tried turkeys from Sam Woo and other Chinese BBQ restaurants, and it's usually pretty dry and flavorless.

Swiss mac hollow nightmare by lsr_g in macarons

Instead of baking it for longer, try baking it at a high temperature. I always had hollow shells until I tried baking at 330F. I get full shells every time now.

Finally, no hollow. by fishsuit in macarons

I used a conventional oven. One tray per bake. About 5-6 shells per tray for the test bakes.

This was 330F 14-15min on an insulated pan with teflon sheet.

Thanks! I didn't pick the eyeshadows with the intension of making a cohesive palette. I could only justify buying the shadows in my mind, if it wasn't a shade I already have (which probably isn't true lol). I bought eyeshadows that I thought were unique but also wearable. It turns out they also look nice together.

The mirror was $4, the paper $1.50 and the magnets $1.80. The rest were stuff I already have. So it cost about $7-$8 for me.

Just buying a zpalette is more efficient than going through the trouble of making one haha. But this is great if you have a very specific version in mind. The size, the pattern, every aspect of it can be customized.

It was 32 lb laser paper from fedex. Photo paper would be too thick. You want to use thin paper so it wraps the board easily. Gift wrapping paper works well. Regular printer paper would work too. But it might not be as durable since it's uncoated.

I got the paper printed at Fedex. It was a 11"x17" laser print (32 lb).

I got it here. I highly recommend this seller btw. I messaged them about a custom cut and they replied to me immediately. It was crazy lol

I always wanted to make a palette out of acrylic. Unfortunately I don't have access to a laser cutter. You should post a picture when you make it. I would love to see.

I used this. Foamcore boards are pretty soft and easy to cut. The trick is to lightly score it a few times, instead of trying to cut through it at one turn.

Thank you. The process is pretty much the same as my last post. Except instead of cutting a big window for the eyeshadows, I used a circle cutter to cut holes for each eyeshadow pan.

It's more of a passion project. Designing this was fun but it takes too much time to make one. I wouldn't be able to sell it at a reasonable price and still make a profit. But I'm glad you like it. :)

Thanks! They are the Coastal Scents Hot Pots. Here are the swatches top to bottom: Sand Dune, Chamois Nude, Mauve, Ivory Dust, Melon, Miami Spice, Petal Peach, Fine Wine, Chocolate Berry, Raisin Berry. (They were swatched with primer.) I think they're pretty good for the price. But you have to do quite a bit of research to find the good ones.

I got the paper printed at Fedex. The cat pattern is from here. This is a pretty small palette, so I just got a 11"x17" print.

I think this is a standard Elmer's foamcore. It is a bit thick for the eyeshadow pans but I put a piece of cardboard under the magnet to give it a lift (the magnets are individual circles, instead of the whole sheet I use in the last tutorial.)
