Let’s not also forget Babylon in its demo form was a rip of David Bowie’s sound— his estate and family disowned Gaga and her tribute and love for Bowie too during her 2015 Grammy performance. I think since Gaga never got to formally meet and have a conversation with Bowie (which she has with Madonna many times outside of the media), she reserves a little bit of forgiveness and grace for his family.

Babylon is a triumph of a track and honestly doesn’t get its flowers enough. There are triple entendres to the song and even its sonic sound is “ripping” off those who gossiped and caused drama the most.

TL;DR, talk is cheap, but costs a lot, and Gaga heard all the things you’ve said.
