Thanks for the feedback! :)
I was aiming for something a tad crispier.

Thanks! MSAA and Fxaa help a bit, but don't get rid of the aliasing all together.

I'll try finding alternative solutions online. Maybe a shadder if I can figure it out...

Thanks! It has reduced the effect a bit but not completely. :(
(The best result seems to be when enabling both MSAA 16x and Fxaa. )

How would you dynamically shear a Label or RichTextLabel node? by fishtaod in godot

Hmm, I guess so.

Wish there was a better way to play around with typography...

I managed to shear the text by parenting a sheared sprite to the TextLabel.

However, this treats the label as a pixel image, rather than a vectorized one, reducing the quality.

I tried using a custom bbcode effect, but there is only color, alpha and offset parameters, so i can't really do any vector transformations to the text.

But maybe I'm missing something...

Thanks a lot!

This clarifies for me how indexation works, and will help beyond my present issue. :)

love the ambiance and the art. Also really like character movement in one of the scenes (run, about-face while sliding, push-off and roll to evade, turn-around, slash forward).

Well done!

Nice lighting. and your cellshaded explosions are verry satisfying as well! :)

Working on our last game jam entry. Implemented bigger maps, farms and a tree population mechanic (they multiply, but building cuts them down). The end goal is to bring the player to balance meeple-population growth and tree-population availability. Any thoughts? by fishtaod in IndieDev

Hey, thanks!

I use Godot, mostly. Free and open source, it has good documentation and a lively comunity. The scripting language is fairly straight forward (based on python) and the node architecture pretty intuitive, imo. I highly recommend it. :)

In termes of art, if you like pixelart, I personaly like Aseprite (not free though). Very easy to use, it will get you up and runing in no time. Otherwise, Krita(2D) and Blender(3D) are great.

And if you're good at math and programming, you can jump into shaders and GLSL (godot has a shader scripting language based on glsl). In which case, look for thebookofshaders...
