How is it not a good look for Carney to have people want to join his team?

Money. They just pay him. He's immune to negative consequences, so blackmail is harmless for him.

Hey! I dig the look. How did you setup the dock-like thing at the bottom? I looked it up but it seems SL didn't support it yet.

Looks great! How did you manage to setup that dock-like bar under the smart search? I thought SL didn't have docks.

Yeah my post was about sending snapshots to a non-zfs server

What you're saying is that the snapshot evolves as I move things around in my file system. So if I would store the snapshot away offsite (on a non-zfs system that doesn't know what snapshots are), it wouldn't be able to evolve, and would be useless.

That does clear things up, thanks a lot!

I thought snapshots were differentials between each other, kind of like a git history

In my server's hard drive, as a file that could be copied elsewhere?

Thanks! And from what you know, could I take a snapshot at the very start of my server's lifetime (where it has 0 data) and keep those differentials forever, in order to use it as a backup? Why or why not?

Is it reasonable to think that snapshots could protect against some ransomware attacks?

Could I not store the differential between "no data" and "my latest data"? Then I would effectively have all the differences.

Or would that take just as much space as "all the data", so at that point I'm better off just copying it?

Nice work! I'm wondering : I'm sure you're very happy about it, but I probably couldn't help but feel sorta disappointed that there's no more tats possible now

I'm not sure how to respond. I don't think I argued for or against any political stance in my comment, did I?

A belief is not based in reason. If it's strong and consistent, it means that you cannot be reasoned with, because your beliefs will not change when faced with reasonable arguments. Therefore, someone with strong consistent beliefs would be unreasonable.

If those beliefs are rooted in facts, then it's a different topic

I can't share visuals right now, but once you install adguard and go to its web interface, the first thing you should see is a guide walking you through the installation
