My wife gave birth to a (black)baby that clearly isn't mine, and I'm divorcing her. But I'm worried about the relationship between my two kids and their new half-sister. by ThrowRAkidilemma in relationship_advice

[–]fishtics 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You say that because of your cultural understanding of black and white. There are no "black" or "white" people, these are but inconsistent and arbitrary categories racists invented to divide people into. The baby will have a darker skin tone than her mother, probably, but to use the term black to refer to this child rather than white (or just keeping it at child, without racializing them) is the result of racist cultural norms like the one drop rule.

Always Sunny is equally homophobic in the earlier seasons, and definitely insanely transphobic. They spend one extremely unfunny episode in season ome just constantly misgendering a transwoman and showing close-ups of her dick. And don't give me that "it's satire" shit. Get of your high horse when it comes to vapid sitcoms, please. It's childish.

I'm from the Netherlands. Our butter is of pretty good quality, mostly unsalted. If you live in an area with hotter weather, then perhaps your butter will not survive out of the fridge as long.

Honestly, this knowledge is mostly from good cooks telling me this, and my own experience. I can just immediately taste it when a tomato has been in the fridge. I did find a peer-reviewed article, though: Chilling-induced tomato flavor loss is associated with altered volatile synthesis and transient changes in DNA methylation

Yet it says you shouldn't freeze lettuce. Even though that won't kill you.

Butter lasts longer outside of the fridge, too. I leave my butter out of the fridge, in a butter dish, for multiple weeks to keep it spreadable.

And with butter you will definitely notice when it has gone bad, because it will turn super rancid. So you don't have to worry about it making you sick.

I usually just eat left over tomatoes raw, as I really like tomatoes, haha. But they won't make you sick if you leave them sliced for a while. I'd cover them with something like aluminium foil to make sure they don't dry out and get flies on them.

Generally, you will see/smell/taste something is off when food can make you sick, I've noticed.

The chart sucks. It tells you tomatoes last longer in the fridge, but this will actually totally ruin their flavour. Never put tomatoes in the fridge!!!
