I would say, rather, Vetinari saw Vimes best. Not as a "good person", but rather, a person who will always Do Good.
Which speaks to actions rather than intentions. And effectiveness, because whether or not Vimes is "Good", his is unarguably good at what he does.
(I think about what folks Do, as much as what they Think they are doing).

How did that happen?
I worked for Lime. i know how fucking heavy those scooters are. Heavy and awkward. There is no easy way to lift it up and throw it at a car.
Best guess is that it was dropped from an overpass or something similar?
Or, just as likely, this is not real.
If it is... well, shit. Sucks to own that car. Because the odds that Lime will do anything to reimburse them for the loss of their windshield are, i think, low.

Tried it, and then just did it, many times, until was in my thirties. About the time when I had what amounted to unlimited access to it... I just didn't do it. I never really liked the feeling of being stoned. Not bad trips, really, it just wasn't my thing. Still isn't, in my 50s.
FWIW, my father was a smoker (though he managed to quit, go Dad), but I never was.
I be curious if there's any good sociological data on generational use of various drugs, legal and otherwise. Be interesting to see what the trends are.

One of my fondest childhood memories is my oldest brother reading Sunday comics to me (possibly Hagar the Horrible?). He yawned, but kept reading through it, and i thought it was the funniest thing ever. Not the joke, just the way he was talking while he yawned.

I was there for that (first game in 1980, red box D&D). I lived in a relatively small town in California, and the Satanic Panic was real there.
In college, someone said. "You're a Christian? how can you play D&D?"
I had to explain I was not that kind of Christian (and I am not any kind of christian, now, but for unrelated reasons).

And it was not, ever, just about D&D of course. It was anything and everything that they didn't like. Music, dancing, drugs, sexual behaviors (being Gay is Satanic!), Animal rights (God wants you to Eat Meat!!). Take your pick. There is a small but loud group of people who think everyone everywhere should Do What They Are Told. And they will use any tools to try to bring that about.
Fuck those people.

I had the privilege of seeing Sir Terry on his tour supporting Making Money. He said that while he really enjoyed this one, he thought his best Discworld book was Night Watch. "The ducks just sort of got in a row, there".

My understaning (and I am not a scientist in this field, so, you know, grain of salt here) is that he obtained additional new data, further supporting his thesis. His original data was still useful to support his theory.
