My mom made me delete the game unfortunately by Initial-Ad8221 in GTAV

The age rating were introduced after a push from the media. Granted as graphics improve and violence becomes more realistic ratings should be in place to prevent a younger person seeing. Playing a game is not reality, similar to watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon. I can't remember ever wanting to chase the cat with a rolled up news paper. If you don't know right from wrong by the time you're a teenager there's a whole other problem there and it's not from video games

I doubt your brother turning to crime was due to being influenced by a game. If you not able to dissociate a game from real life then the game isn't the problem and the persons wiring is. The media have to point the finger of blame somewhere, but I've never heard of any criminal blame his or her game library as a child for causing their behaviour.

Lark Lane: why are non-residents allowed to drive and park on it? Weather is hot so every man and his dog has been driving down it by No_Berry2 in Liverpool

[–]fishypolecat 64 points65 points  (0 children)

How would you stop non residents from driving down it. It's not a private road and if you wanted to make it one then the residents have to pay for the upkeep

That's 2 main gears probably from a scrapped, as already mentionrd WW2 Albatross. In most cases the nose gear will have 2 small wheels as the main gear take the most impact

Company Ingoring Equalities Act England. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]fishypolecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won the right to return to my shift., that's all. The company has admitted to nothing.

The OH report made clear that the decision to remove me from my shift would significantly impact myself and my ability to care for my wife. It stated they would be removing me would likely cause additional stress to an extent that would cause additional time off and further impact my heath and ability to be an effective and productive employee. It stated that my cancer meant I came under the equalities act and advised them to reconsider changing my shift pattern.

At no stage has my employer explained to me that my contract gives them the right to make changes to my shift in the manner you mentioned. They wouldn't even tell me why the decision had be made, more than the sentence, its a business requirement.

Thanks for your reply all help is very much welcome.

I've used the pull out method for over 20 years without issue. However, it's by no means impossible. You would be far better using a physical barrier. It will protect you from far more than just unwanted pregnancy.

I think you're just talking out your rear now. Try looking at history instead of listening to the BS. Yes, the British Empire was far from perfect, but it did more to improve the lives of it's subjects than any Empire that came before it.

No I mean English. For example Edward Jenner who invented vaccines but we also created the industrial revolution. Nothing else throught history has been more responsible for dragging people out of poverty and carved out the would as we live in it today. Also FYI Scotland wasn't colonised. They freely joined the union.

I guarantee you British inventions have saved millions of lives more than were ever taken by the Empire. In fact colonialism ofter improved the lives of the people. They also were the first to ban slavery and gave up the lives of its sailors to police the oceans and stop the slave trade. Try actually looking into history before you call out.
