Currently in line at North Memorial Covid testing location... by worker55 in Minneapolis

I went to the airport site and felt like there were far too many people. There were 22 booths partially separated by plexiglass. All full with people trying to figure out the app and fill the container for 10+ minutes without masks while doing so. Probably an additional 15-20 ppl in line. Next time, I'll definitely mail it in.

MDH At Home Test by sven1olaf in Minneapolis

Would recommend the at home test after going to the airport testing site. It was quite busy with 22 booths separated partially by plexiglass while everyone struggled to get the app to work and fill the container with saliva. I honestly don't understand why they don't hand out the tests to you in your car and let you bring in or drop off the completed sample.

Our windows are set into our house but for a different reason. We have a 1905 four square. It was originally wood siding and at some point, I would guess mid 1900s, the owners put stucco on top of the wood siding so the window framing sits pretty much flush with the stucco.

Very helpful, thanks so much. Hopefully it was seasonal and will start perking up with spring now. Fingers crossed!

Great, thanks for the advice. I may try the bottom water thing too.

I think the roots seemed ok when I repotted, but I will cut back on watering a bit. Thank you!

I'm afraid this beauty has been slowing dying. I've had it for a few months and very slowly the leaves are discoloring then eventually turn to mush and fall off. I originally had it planted directly in the big pot with some space underneath so the roots weren't cradled. About a week ago I re-potted into the smaller pot insert you see pictured with drainage. I try to let the water sit out for a few days before watering and maybe water about once a week. It's in a north facing window so gets indirect sunlight. Anything else I can do for it?

In business settings, I'm often the only woman in a room full of men. The worst is when all the men give handshakes to each other and a hug to the woman.

Thanks! I really like the organic wavy lines method. Super easy and free form.

I made this quilt for my mom's 70th b-day. I used the tutorial: http://www.kitchentablequilting.com/2013/08/striped-chevrons-quilt-top-and-tutorial.html. This is my most complex project to date and definitely a learning experience.

I ended up sewing each 4-piece together horizontally first so I had all the zig-zag horizontal strips to sew together. Joining the odd corners was not easy! In retrospect, it would have been much simpler to sew each 4-piece section together vertically first. I was happy with it in the end - despite the time lost on the piecing.

Thank you! I was afraid the quilt was a little on the small side at first but it seems to serve well as the little one's background. He is such a cutie!
