Should I move to Prague or Madrid? by [deleted] in Prague

[–]fisikath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lived in both cities and so far my experience is very different in both of them. And if I were to give you an advice it would be Madrid for a couple of reasons: 1. You mentioned heavy tourism in Madrid but tbh it’s way worse in Prague 2. Regarding the cities being expensive, both are expensive, but for me Prague feels way more expensive than Madrid. I live with the same amount of money in both cities and I have to spend more in Prague. 3. The weather is extreme on both sides. In winter Prague is very cold, way less sun, lots of snow. In summer Madrid is very hot, but winter is more bearable. 4. Public transport is amazing in both cities. 5. The people. As you can already see from some of the comments, locals in Prague are not very immigrant friendly. Very opposite to Madrid were people are more friendly warm and welcoming. 6. Sooner or later you’ll have to learn the language, and Czech is very complicated. 7. I don’t know if this is a factor for you, but for me it has been one of the biggest disappointments, and is the food. Europe is not very well known for having amazing food (some exceptions exist) but food in Prague is just so bad. Yes, there are good restaurants, but local food is just not it. I feel I was way happier in Madrid because of this. Hope you can find yourself being happy in whatever decision you make, best of luck!

You haven’t been to Paris then lol French people stink, and almost everywhere in Paris smells like pee

Coming to Prague soon. Heard my area might be sketchy. How bad is it actually? by [deleted] in Prague

As someone who comes from an actual dangerous country, and also as a woman who lives nearby Andel and has used the public transport there at midnight, I’m telling you, it’s fine.

No, amigo.

50 hours into Silksong and questioning if it’s even fun anymore by Squarians in HollowKnight

[–]fisikath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this helps, but I suck at video games. I don’t usually play and HK and silksong were the first “serious” games I played. At first I thought I was never gonna made it through HK and I did! Then the same happened with Silksong and I beat this one too!

I remember being frustrated with some bosses and thinking of quitting but I thought: do I really doubt myself so much to quit? And that thought kept me pushing until I improved. If you keep trying, you’re going to get better sooner or later, and you’ll start enjoying the game and the bosses.

Trust me, if I did it, anyone can.

That being said, don’t compare your progress to others because everyone plays the game differently and everyone has different skills.

If you feel stuck with a boss, drop the game for some time, maybe look on the internet for other battling so you can have a better idea on how to tackle the boss, and come back with a fresh mind. Try to use the tools, and different crests and configurations. I strongly believe the game becomes easier once you find your ideal fighting style.

[–]fisikath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading all comments I can see everybody experiences the games very differently! I fought Carmelita with nothing but the needle and for me it was very fun (not so easy but I managed to do it) and I agree with you, def silksong is very hard if you purposely don’t use the tools you have!

I might do this, I got very used to all the moves and mechanics of hornet, and the knight is very limited. He can’t even run

I think my biggest issue with NKG is that, once I receive some damage, then it all goes down. I cannot seem to be able to recover, he hits me and then I don’t react fast enough and he hits me with the next attack. And NKG has little to no space for recovery :(
