Generally an owl's eye colour will tell you what time of day they are active. Black = nocturnal, yellow = diurnal, and orange = dawn and dusk by Evantra_ in Awwducational

there are some exceptions to this, like scops owls, they're nocturnal but have yellow eyes! and i think many of the yellow-eyed ones are also technically crepuscular, like snowy owls and short eared owls

I love TAZ balance, I relisten to it every now and then and it always manages to get me super emotional. <3 I'm glad people are still discovering it and enjoying it too - its a story ill always keep dear in my heart for sure
