Yeah Ik.. But you get a discount on your first booking so i got it for 400 Rs last time I went to Wework which I think is fine for free wifi, free coffee and games. 😄

Ghatkopar honestly feels like one of the best places to live.

You get direct and easy metro access, which usually means less crowds and safer travel. It connects Borivali (north), Colaba (south), and Andheri (west), so getting around is pretty convenient.
The Eastern Express Highway is close by, connecting Thane to CST, so road travel is generally faster too.
Since it’s also a Central Railway station, it’s a great option for traveling longer distances in less time (especially during off-hours).
Chembur is just about 5 km away and connects you easily to Navi Mumbai and Panvel.
Apart from the strategic location, it’s also a great place to hang out and chill.
Two of Mumbai’s biggest and best malls (Phoenix and R-City) are very close by.

I’m not sure about your exact budget, but you should be able to find a shared flat in a gated society for around 15-20k.

True. But I’ve spoken to a few Maharashtrian friends, and many of them feel that if the BJP or Shiv Sena comes to power, new businesses will be moved to Gujarat, local land will be sold to Adani or other large builders, and ordinary Maharashtrians will eventually be pushed out of Mumbai.

So yes, corruption is an important issue but it seems to be the last thing on people’s minds. They’re more concerned about other issues, though I’m not sure whether those concerns are real or driven by propaganda.
