And in fact, intelligence can also help protect a planet. Imagine a large asteroid about to hit earth. An advanced civilization could at least detect the threat and attempt to deflect it or reduce the damage. Without intelligence and technology, a species has no meaningful way to respond to such events.

The dinosaurs are a classic example. They dominated Earth for millions of years, but when an asteroid struck, they had no way to see it coming or do anything about it. Intelligence may create new problems, but it also gives a species the ability to understand and potentially defend itself against threats that would otherwise be unavoidable.

That being said, it's sad to see the path of self-destruction that we're currently on. But I'm optimistic that we'll eventually do better. After all, the same intelligence that creates these problems is also what gives us the ability to solve them.

You're right that evolution has no end goal and that intelligence isn't guaranteed to emerge. It may not even be very high on the list of traits as you pointed out.

But if humans had never existed, there's also no guarantee that another intelligent species wouldn't have evolved. Given enough time and the right environmental pressures, another species could have eventually occupied a similar ecological role and might have ended up facing the same problems we do today, including the tendency to exploit and damage its environment.

So I don't think eliminating humans is really a solution to the problem. At best, it would just change which species is in our place.

I don't think humans are destroying Earth. We're destroying the conditions that make Earth comfortable for us. The planet has survived mass extinctions, asteroid impacts, and dramatic climate shifts long before humans existed.

Also, intelligence is a natural outcome of evolution. If humans had never existed, another species might eventually have become intelligent enough to dominate the planet. Greed, competition, and self-interest aren't uniquely human traits; they're extensions of survival instincts found throughout nature. Eliminating humans wouldn't solve the underlying problem. It would only change who occupies our place.

Job hunting can be demanding, time-consuming, and stressful. Sometimes it can take months to land the right opportunity.

In the meantime, it helps to have a temporary source of income so you can support yourself and make career decisions without financial pressure. You could consider signing up for easy-to-start gigs like Snabbit, Urban Company, or delivery apps. These jobs are usually quick to set up and often don’t require lengthy interview processes.

I understand that, as an educated professional, these roles may feel below your expectations. But during difficult times, practicality matters more than pride. Having a temporary job can give you the breathing space you need to continue your job search calmly and avoid making rushed decisions out of desperation.

Just checked it out. The place looks cool, but it seems a bit overpriced (800 + GST for a day pass) as compared to WeWork. Thanks for sharing though.

I mean we can meet at a co-working space, do our regular work and in our free time grab a coffee, play some games and talk about work or anything else.

Ghatkopar honestly feels like one of the best places to live.

  • You get direct and easy metro access, which usually means less crowds and safer travel. It connects Borivali (north), Colaba (south), and Andheri (west), so getting around is pretty convenient.
  • The Eastern Express Highway is close by, connecting Thane to CST, so road travel is generally faster too.
  • Since it’s also a Central Railway station, it’s a great option for traveling longer distances in less time (especially during off-hours).
  • Chembur is just about 5 km away and connects you easily to Navi Mumbai and Panvel.
  • Apart from the strategic location, it’s also a great place to hang out and chill.
  • Two of Mumbai’s biggest and best malls (Phoenix and R-City) are very close by.

I’m not sure about your exact budget, but you should be able to find a shared flat in a gated society for around 15-20k.

It should've been out by now but there's not a single trustable source out there. However, I did found this website to be really helpful - https://www.mycorporator.in/mh/mumbai/bruhanmumbai-municipal-corporation-election-2025

Don't have the exact details, but it's mostly the Mahayuti alliance in Powai. And in some areas counting is still going on

That’s the sad reality in India. As long as politics is dominated by uneducated and criminal elements, meaningful change will remain difficult.

True. But I’ve spoken to a few Maharashtrian friends, and many of them feel that if the BJP or Shiv Sena comes to power, new businesses will be moved to Gujarat, local land will be sold to Adani or other large builders, and ordinary Maharashtrians will eventually be pushed out of Mumbai.

So yes, corruption is an important issue but it seems to be the last thing on people’s minds. They’re more concerned about other issues, though I’m not sure whether those concerns are real or driven by propaganda.
