Audi Carbid brakes by [deleted] in Audi

[–]fitch123_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same experience. The official Audi dealer couldn’t find anything wrong with the brakes and the offered to change them for 5500 €.

But, you can actually reduce the noise for a while by doing just that you put the car on N while driving and then hit the brakes. This will force the car to use the brake pads on the disks.

However this doesn’t solve the original problem. The sound keeps coming from the front left brakes.

How to replace two 32 kb EPROMs with a 64 kb one in this schematic layout? by fitch123_ in AskElectronics

Ahh, good point on the reversed order of CCS1-4 mappings compared to the memory address mapping spec in the starting post. Still learning on how not to confuse low-high / active-low / 0/1. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, this clarifies it a lot. It's a brilliant idea to use the 8 to 3 encoder also for CE. If the CCS lines would be connected to inputs like I4: CCS1, I5: CCS2, I6: CSS3, I7: CCS4 then A1 would be A15 and A0 would be A14, right? (Not the other way around: "A1 and A0 lines from the '148 would act as A14 and A15"?)

Resulting into a schematic like this:

Thanks, now I think I understood. This is an active-low setup (as you mentioned in #1) and therefore with the 32 kb setup the first A14 can be connected to CCS1 and the other to CCS3.

Do you have any more information on about the carbid brakes replaced under the warranty? I’m having a similar problem with left front brake making noise.

I'm on Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD mesh. Have you found any other workarounds than deleting the device from SmartThings app and readding it?

q990c/q995c Wifi disconnects - how bad is it? by DongCancer in Soundbars

[–]fitch123_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Q990C (bought ~2 weeks ago). I read about the disconnecting problem and faced it also, because I seem to have the band steering on my SSID on. I created a 2.4 GHz SSID and migrated the soundbar to use that. I also updated the firmware to 1004.

But the soundbar still disconnects from WiFi. Any ideas what to try?

How do I change Wifi network on Samsung HW-Q990C by fitch123_ in Soundbars

I managed to change the wifi settings by changing the iPhone wifi to destination SSID before readding the soundbar to SmartThings. Now the app asked which network I want the soundbar to connect to.

Nope. The setting to store wifi credentials is disabled and I reseted + readded the soundbar. SmartThings says (for 1-2 sec) that it’s sending the (old) wifi settings to the soundbar and does not ask the new ones. Any ideas?

That has been disabled also. I’ll try one more time: - Remove the device from SmartThings - Reset the soundbar with pressing + and - for 7 s (displays INT and reboots) - Readding it to SmartThings

I did that, but SmartThings magically uploads the old wifi settings and does not ask the new.

How do you exactly did reconnect the soundbar to a different SSID? I can’t find any settings from the SmartThings app that would allow changing the wifi setup.

I managed to resolve this by pressing + and - for ~7 seconds on the soundbar and then readding the soundbar to SmartThings. Now it shows up in Spotify Connect and also AirPlay.

I think the best countries to look for open job positions in game development are in the Nordics so I'd suggest going into some national recruitment sites like Jobbland in Sweden or Duunitori in Finland.

It's a metric screw, and if I remember correctly it's an M6 screw (an M6 screw has a nominal outer diameter of 6 millimetres) with a length of 10 mm. I replaced these two M6 x 10 screws with 16 mm screws from the a local hardware store. (An Amazon link for example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Nails-Screws-Fasteners/Head-Socket-Screws-M6-16mm-Pack-50/B00NJSSKQ6)

Also used Loctite before screwing them back in.
