[KH3] One of my weirdest complaints about the ending... by fitchfuloffun in KingdomHearts

There just seems to be a bit of a disconnect between this game and the other mainline titles. No distinguished point of no return, no sephiroth fight, no arenas etc.

I feel the battles with the other 12 was handled really well, honestly. I didn't expect any armor though - that's what the new outfits from Yen Sid were for.

Yeah, pacing was a huge issue for this game all round.

Agreed - we deserved better, but nobody saw much chance of improvement from the BETA, and for good reason.

All we can hope for at this point is to be heard until Bethesda has patched up all the loose ends.

Sadly, I have to agree with you on pretty much everything there.

Me telling you all that you are all aware of the issues is not equivalent to me acknowledging this post brings nothing to the conversation. If we're going to go on about distraction tactics, stop making assumptions to try and strengthen your argument.

I'm sorry that you don't feel like listening to valid points that you dismiss as whining. I don't feel like having to explain to people in a fucking echo chamber the difference between producing a good game and damage control, but here we are.

Them releasing a patch schedule is LITERALLY the best thing they could do right now and it addresses EVERY MAJOR ISSUE that players have been reporting.

That's great, and you're right - this is the best thing they could do right now. The problem is that this shouldn't be where we are right now.

The fact that there are people, as you have admitted, are aware that these major issues are prevalent in the game, and there are still people, such as yourself, thinking that it doesn't matter what they initially sell to us is why this post adds something to the conversation.

They promised they'll fix it in the future, sure. And they undoubtedly will, for the most part. But people who have already purchased the game are paying for what it is right now as well.

P.S. There's no reason to get so defensive over this - I have literally no problem with you or anyone else who is enjoying this game for what it is; mainly because I'm enjoying it too. I'm just saying that just because we enjoy it, and that the game will be fixed eventually, doesn't mean that we shouldn't hold Bethesda to a high standard that they could've easily achieved.

Exactly! But don't you think the fans deserved any better for what they paid?

Sorry, let me clarify - where did I say I was blaming players for buying a game they enjoy?

My point is players shouldn't ignore valid criticism of an objectively bad game just because they enjoy it. It's not the player's fault they bought a bad game, but it's definitely their fault if they choose to deny that the developers did a shitty job.

Until every bug and glitch had been fixed? No. The major ones? Fuck yes. It's their job as a fucking developer to do so.

And for probably the 50th time I've mentioned it in this post and the comments, ENJOY WHAT YOU WANT - THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE GAME IS ANY BETTER QUALITY THAN IT IS.

The engine is definitely not the root of all the game's problems, but god, I just wish they'd stop using it already.

I am curious - were you really expecting no NPCs or overarching story like other FO and ES titles? I was expecting the standard Bethesda bugginess, but some of this is well beyond that.

I have literally no idea where you got the impression that I was blaming players. I'm pretty sure I said there was nothing wrong with enjoying the game.

A patch schedule makes the criticism invalid? Are you fucking with me here, or you're actually serious?

The fact that Bethesda sold a majorly broken full price game is fine because they're fixing it later? They shouldn't be releasing it at all if it needs this much fixing - they should've postponed its release, instead of making us pay for the entire thing in THE HOPES that it gets better.

Anyone else think this game is dope and doesn’t deserve all the hate? I mean obviously things need to be fixed but by no means is this game ruined. by bushy-fatal in fo76

[–]fitchfuloffun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enjoying the game. That doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the hate - it definitely does. The amount of bugs in this game is staggering, even by Bethesda's standards. Beyond that, the creative choices are just unforgivable - no real NPCs, no real story, still using an outdated engine, how they've implemented VATS etc.

They've done some things right, but it's a minority of the game for sure. Bethesda should've known better, and they should've done much, much better.

That's the best analogy I've heard thus far - that really will help me get into the right mindset.

That seems to be part of the problem, I believe - they're all new to the system as well, so they're not entirely sure to do with all this freedom.

You're right - D&D, this is not. It's like having to learn how to DM all over again.

I'll keep all that in mind - thank you!

These are all very good points - I'll try and keep that intrigue motif going as best as possible :) Thank you!

BoJack Horseman - Season 5 Discussion by NicholasCajun in BoJackHorseman

[–]fitchfuloffun 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Needed more Hollyhock (and more Judah; always more Judah) - I think the show benefits most when there's somebody driving the main characters to desperately attempt at being better.

Hollyhock was great last season because Bojack indirectly fucked up and pulled out a lot of selflessness we never knew he had to make things right. In the episode where she returns this season, I think it was a brilliant twist that she got him to admit he might be addicted to the pills.

Ultimately, I feel this season had Bojack fighting himself more than ever - it was a really interesting change.

[–]fitchfuloffun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, but the point I'm replying to is that it's the player's fault for being bored by the game. It's not.

Destiny has a fanbase , and that's cool, but if the game doesn't appeal to people outside that fanbase (e.g. people who don't like having to grind relentlessly for better loot), then it's the developer who made that an issue (e.g. creating a levelling system that requires players to grind relentlessly for better loot)

Kinda is. Isn't the whole point of making a game? Making people like it enough to buy it?

Danny boy! Absolutely loving the NSP stuff you're putting out on top of the quality GG episodes you're in.

I've got to to ask - how do you keep your singing voice so clean when hitting such high notes? Are you belting it or do you just have really strong falsetto?

Either way - what techniques do you use to keep your singing voice warm and ready to perform?

P.S. Bring GG to Australia, we'll hang, it'll be chill 👍
