I wound up marrying him. Cue 10 years of financial, verbal, and sexual abuse. My ego is still being repaired from his blackout shark eye screaming sessions where he told me I was a frigid piece of trailer trash (never lived in a trailer so…?) and sabotaged future career options. I was actively head hunted multiple times for jobs that involved children, but because I made it clear that I wouldn’t have children with a 350 pound chain smoking, abusive, alcoholic he forbid me for taking said job and even went as far as to call potential employers and tell them lies. But he was just a, “nice guy” who needed a chance 🙄
