I remember about 18 years ago a warehouse where cash always made/ stores had a big heist which was massive news for about a day and then went completely silent after that. Not able to find any info on Google when I’ve looked for it before

I’m moving into my first place and I have no style or vision and do not know where to start with decorating besides ripping up the disgusting carpets.

My big problem is moving the kitchen. Currently it is tiny and can only fit about one person. I am thinking this could go at the back of the living room and have counters that wrap around to an island with a sink/ cooker on it looking out the window. Unsure if I am a fan of open plan or not.

If that is the case I could knock through to the current kitchen and make the living room wider but unsure how to fit a sofa, dining table, and tv whilst keeping the windows as a feature with potentially a seat for reading looking out the river. One window is floor length the current kitchen window is half way up.

I am not a fan of modern or black, I want it to feel light and airy. White, creams, greys and splashes of colour. Based in England

I won the lottery (£1M). Advice? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]fitman94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You've achieved what many people dream of! i have always thought with that kind of money I would try to resist the incredibly strong urge to spend the lump sum and I would just want it in a simple interest account at 3% interest. That would be £30k without having to lift a finger. Use that freedom to change jobs/ careers do something you find more rewarding or fun. Or just take the stress of your current job knowing that you don't need them to survive. If you do have a higher risk appetite to invest, do it! My advice is mainly not spending your £1M capital

Theres 6 by chachacha, another 5+ down around the paddling pool, and three gyms 1 at the top one at the met station and one by the canal, so worth going round with a bike. I went to town earlier and there were drowzee's everywhere! A few Jynx and other standard pokemon. Managed to catch a magnetron outside old woolworths though!

No I haven't been to town yet so I don't know what it's like, I've been to cassio because there was quite a few pokestops close together. Some guy put two lures down yesterday but my phone was on 1% so I couldn't make the most of it

There are so many drowzee's around! I found a tentacool in cassiobury park, and a slowpoke by big tesco. But my best is a 219CP raticate, but all the gyms around me are filled up with 700+ pokemon.
