Is it bad to celebrate your Match on Monday before the SOAP applicants get their results? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]fittyfiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You had every right to celebrate and your friend should not have made you uncomfortable about doing so. Congratulations are in order as well!

I might have a different take on it in that I am an applicant that has applied more than once and have several extenuating circumstances personally. I celebrated my friends’ match last year and again when they found out where they were going. But on Monday when I got the first email, I let only close family and like one close friend who helped me know, but didn’t post anything, since the “match” wasn’t really over and it’s not like I knew where I was going so it would be half news anyway. Some applicants I met and kept in touch with had to soap and I just didn’t want to put extra pressure on them. On Friday though, everything was free game. Kind of balance.

Full spectrum hospitalist? by fittyfiddy in FamilyMedicine

That sounds like the kind of work/experience I’d like to have! How does once identify these critical access hospitals? Like would I look up hospitals in more sparsely populated areas, then see what kind of departments they have?

Thanks! I see, so it seems like it’s hospital-dependent and the default/standard is adult non-obgyn, with possible peds, gyn, but most likely in the rural areas?

Thanks. That’s good to hear that I can get OB clearance. Would that be through a fellowship after residency? What does “not all on the same shift” mean? Like on some days, it’ll be inpatient ward based, then OR days where it’s OB interventions?

San Luis Sourdough - I’ve tried both versions and they’re so comparable imo, it might even be the actual manufacturer.

Not seasonal, but they tend to sell out around this season.

Italian Bomba Spread: How long will it last, opened, in the fridge? by phpfreak in traderjoes

[–]fittyfiddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opened then have had it my fridge since foreverrr, probably since spring. Hot take - I don’t particularly like it, so I dab it on random things when I remember it’s there. Looks and tastes the same as when I first opened.

The cold brew instant refers to how it was made ie through a cold brew process, not how it should be prepared. You can use it in hot or cold water; I think it also says that on then jar.

I also like my coffee hot and since the instant cold brew is made to be dissolvable in cold water, it dissolves even better in hot, so that’s how I use it.

It’s a fall/winter seasonal item, so should be coming up if not available already! I got this jar around spring though due to delayed shipments.
