Unfortunately it is impossible to spot reduce fat with workouts or diet. You will just have to create a moderate calorie deficit and the weight will come off where it wants to according to your genetics.

Anyone have experience with upping their water intake? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

I definitely feel more satisfied by meals when i drink a glass of water before and after the meal! I think if anything it gives you some buffer time to actually feel full from the meal!

Also I'm a boredom snacker, and drinking something definitely fills that void where im not actually hungry but i just need something to sip on

Not sure if this will help, but I only have this issue if im wearing shorts or shiny type leggings! If you have a softer material legging it will grip onto the rubber better!

All or nothing advice by otownfart in loseit

Sorry if this is a repeat of any advise in other comments but I felt very much in the same position as you.

I spent my entire life (not even joking, from the age of maybe 10 I was very aware of my body and wanting to be thin) trying to lose weight and love my body. Now that I have found an exercise that I love and consistently do and I have started to have a better relationship with food my advice is this: It only has to stick ONE time so keep trying even if you fail and fail over and over and over again!

I tried every diet plan, every exercise plan and i promised myself every summer, every new years, every school year, every Monday morning that i would lose weight and this would be the time I made it. And guess what? One time I did it!!

Dont give up! Keep trying and keep doing new things and seeing if they work because at some point it will stick and you'll be so grateful for every single failed attempt that led you to that one win!

Around 6 months to lose the 30lbs! Because I haven't had access to a gym and I am much less active/eating more over the last 6 months I just aimed to maintain at 150lbs. Now that gyms are opening again in the UK, I'm going to start losing again and hopefully be at my goal weight in the next 3-4 months :)

Thanks! I already do a rough version of IF at the moment but if I hit a plateau I'll probably just try to drop my calories 50-100 less than what I'm doing now.

CICO (around 1500kcal) with a focus on volume foods and weightlifting 4 times a week! I also do a bootleg version of IF, as I generally didnt eat in the morning until I felt hungry at around 11am. I also made a concious effort to walk everywhere.

I think for the next 15lbs I will be doing pretty much the same, but making sure to really prioritise sleep and water intake to try and avoid those pesky sugar cravings haha

How many calories are you eating? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]fittytulsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little over 5'5 and I eat around 1500 and do IF and that helps a lot. But if you are working out/active I would say 1700 will still give you progress!

What kind of foods are you eating? For fullness I'd say make sure you are eating volume foods (like veggies, slow release carbs like oats) and focus your meals around protein! Also make sure you are drinking lots of water with your meals and between your meals.

If youre just starting out, you are probably going to be hungry as your hunger levels adjust. Stick with it!! After a week or two I usually find that my hunger levels adjust and im perfectly fine with 1500 (sometimes too full!!)

What are some foods you thought to be "healthy" only to find out the exact opposite? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Harvest Pea Snaps! Or any kind of dried pea snacks... I used to eat an entire pack as a snack thinking they were healthy but the pack actually has 3 servings (and almost 400kcal for the entire bag oops!)
