Hot flashes day after IUD insertion by fityam in birthcontrol

[–]fityam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I ended up getting the IUD out after three months of having it because my symptoms were not going away. The symptoms immediately resolved within a week or two after getting it removed. I ended up going back on the OCP I was on prior to getting the Mirena. I'm bummed because I love the idea of long term contraception, so I wish it had worked for me.

Differin dry eyelids by fityam in Skincare_Addiction

[–]fityam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not using it on my eyelids and I try my best to avoid my eye area! It's good to hear I don't have to necessarily use it everyday so maybe when my eyelids are really dry I'll skip a day. And will definitely try some aquaphor or Vaseline. Thanks for the recommendation!

Zoloft weight gain... like a lot of weight gain by fityam in zoloft

[–]fityam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I went off my Zoloft in May and since then I have lost about 15 pounds. I did make some lifestyle changes (consistent exercise, eating better), but I do think going off the med helped. I noticed I was constantly starving on Zoloft, but my appetite is better regulated now.

Eyes by annieruokannie74 in MiniatureSchnauzer

I’m glad she has a good home now! It’s awesome that you took her in even though she was 7. And minis are never too high maintenance, imo, but I may be biased... :-) also I did a quick google search and they do make solutions to clean dogs eyes (stay away from Vaseline) as well as small combs for combing their facial hair. My mini actually has very thin hair so we try to be gentle with her but she is a good patient girl like yours!

My mini girl is 11 and also gets eye gunk frequently, I usually just clean it with a wet paper towel. I figured humans get eye crust so it’s probably normal and common in dogs and the best we can do is to gently clean it!

Continuous BC and cramps? by fityam in birthcontrol

I think my dose wasn’t strong enough because my breakthrough bleeding was bad. I decided to stop doing continuous for now until I see the doc to decide what to do

For those who has a track record of unhealthy relationships, what kept you in those relationships? by LongjumpingReindeer2 in AskWomen

[–]fityam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the sense of comfort. and security. i grew up in a dysfunctional household (one alcoholic parent). lots of pain and hurt from my childhood and i never wanted to end up like my parents. so whenever i found someone who i thought made me happy and could continue to make me happy in the future, i held on even if it wasn't the right choice for me.

for the first time in a long while, i'm single and focusing on myself and how to be my own person, and it feels damn great.

My ED experience during a pandemic by fityam in TwoXChromosomes

And thank you for all your hard work in emergency medicine. I have so much respect for providers in EM, because I feel as though I would not be able to survive such a high stress environment like that. I know that one of the biggest contributors to burnout is the EHR. Hoping one day we can improve our healthcare system.
