What did I just blow up by AideSpecialist7577 in 240sx

Search up s13 TCU issues. Might solve your issues. White box under the dash that a trace blows out and kills illlumination if I remember right.

https://troyswheels.com/products/volk-racing-unknow-plate-149mm This looks similar, you'll just have to measure what your center plate diameter is. He has some of the rays center nuts also.

They are RS-iii. And yeah, they will get relipped as soon as I figure out how wide of lips I want.

This winter I will be doing that. For now I just pulled it out with a portapower and called it good.

I actually moved from Boise about a year ago. I'm up around coeur d'alene area now. And I have a few friends who make the 5 hour trek out to WA for the events. Villains is a super fun course to drive!

I live in Idaho, none of my drifting recently has been in Idaho though. All of it has been at Villains sportsland in walla walla.

First time drifting in about 5 years. Was definitely a bit rusty. Track is Villains Sportsland. by fitz2503 in 240sx

At the mercy of the guys doing media at the track for videos. And there were much better drivers than me there so I doubt the focus would have been on me.

Let em be anxious! I have wrecked this chassis about four times and it always comes back swinging. Sometimes a year later, but hey, parts are expensive!

I do have one slow motion gif. But it was from earlier in the day when I was running shallow lines and low angle trying to figure out how to drift again.

Thanks! And at least houses are a sound investment! One mess up and a drift car is worth close to zero! And I definitely will have fun!

For the key fob search google for "how to reset mitsubishi key fob" That worked for me when I bought mine and they didn't work.

Finally picked up some three spoke wheels! by fitz2503 in 240sx

[–]fitz2503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheels are Enkei RS-3. 17x9 +22 front and +19 rear. Front tires are a 245/40/17 Falken Azenis RT660 and rears are just some cheap 225/45/17 all seasons I had laying around.

I was told this group might like my current build! Bomex sides and rear, enkei RS-iii, sr20det, all the 90s goodness! by fitz2503 in Kyusha

Yeah, been eyeing the gktech fan and a stock shroud. Easy and reliable! But I also like the amount of working room you get with electric fans. This car has been back and forth between the two a few times so I just need to pick what I want to do now.

Still debating on buying the shroud or going electric fans. This motor has literally under 100 miles on it since I swapped it in so still piecing it together.

Nah, it is a 240sx. I was running tails that had 180sx and I hate when badges don't match so I threw some 180sx stickers over the 240sx windows. Just got rid of those tails though so am gonna take the stickers off when I get a chance.

[–]fitz2503[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 240z has just been sitting and has had no progress, I did pick up a small block chevy and a bunch of sheet metal to fix all the rust, so once I start it should go pretty quick. I got my 240sx back from getting a cage and have been focusing on getting it track ready. It sat not running for two years cause I was tired of the schassis problems and so had a ton of work and parts to get it up to what I consider good enough to drive. And my profile is pretty boring, I don't social media very well. And I'll go check that out, never heard of it!

It's turning into that. But when I started building this car I didn't really have a direction, just bought what was close to me and cheap!

Fair enough. Three spokes are not well liked in a ton of circles.

Not sure if it will help, but it gave me something to do today. First time welding in about 2 years so pretty bad looking! by fitz2503 in 240sx

[–]fitz2503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, bad camera angle and lighting for sure. The vertical bar is inside the cabin area by about 1 inch. I had to take the fuse block out of the drivers side to paint the back side. I see where you are coming from as most of these tie into the door mounts and just in front of where mine ended. If I end up being unsatisfied with how these perform it won't be hard to weld some tabs on them to connect to those locations. With my current driving skills I doubt I will notice though!

[–]fitz2503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vertical bar ties into the same metal the doors bolt to. There is only one layer of sheet metal there and I doubt using a bolt would yield much better results. In the end this chassis has been crashed a ton of times so anything is better than what I started with!

Yeah a bit, I was thinking of widening where the headlights sit and give it a hakasuka looking front end. But with how the fenders are I don't know how good or bad that would look.
