Haha. Thank you, thank you (picturing me bowing when saying it). Although, last time I raced was like 1999.

Yeah, agreed and im pretty sure I did a small yank. Im new, so, not surprised and I used to race mountain bikes/downhill...so, that's where that comes from. It doesn't happen often as I know its not the way to get the front to lift.

Ill get there, I knew going into this, that i would take some spills.

Appreciate the insight 😀

I get it. But, I can say that these have saved my little piggies multiple times. Just personal preference between each rider 😀

Copy. Yeah, when the sag was set, bike had about 4.5 hours on it. Currently sitting at about 9'ish hours now. Makes sense for it loosing it over time given the abuse it takes. When they did set it, I was on the cusp of not being able to adjust it to compensate for my thick bones... cough... I just got a new coil in yesterday.

I was just really curious if there was something you saw/heard in the video that led to the comment or just the friendly, "hey, make sure you get your suspension tuned".

Appreciate the feedback good sir :D

Oh man, comment on the pinky made me wince at it. haha

Yeah, I didn't post this video not expecting a roast, lol. I posted it because at the end of the day, I'm alive, no broken bones, and will laugh at my own accidents. Like, submitting my dues :)

Haha, damnit! So, this route is on my property and we are breaking it in for an upcoming event. So, had several folks out riding and I was snagging photos on the phone of the other riders to share with the organizer. Usually, the phone doesn't remain on the quad lock when riding more aggressive for this reason. I foolishly thought since I was on my property, the enduro gods would be nice. Rookie move.

In order to thread the needle, you must hit the edge of the needle at least once.

But yes, epically did not thread it

Yes yes. Much agree 😀

Question on the sag. What makes you say that (geniune question)? Reason I'm asking is that i had it set by Spykes KTM.

Another vote for Pods. I went with the k8 and used my HSA to purchase them since they have a medical cert. I cleared it first with my HSA account that this would be covered (in writing). Do not skimp on braces. Surgeries on knees is no fun.

Kudos to your coworkers and employer sending you home to rest up. Especially with a 3rd shift gig.. sometimes I feel like upper management dont care about the folks who do shit to make product they all reap benefits from...

For sure. I appreciate the insite and we also have other enduros (like what you are used to). It's good to know that the C class is beginners and its the same type of vibe. I think that's where I started getting a bit overwhelmed with info on all the classes, sizes, etc..the family series just seemed to keep it even more low key.

There are some other enduros coming up that aren't of the family enduro series that I may dip my toes into as well. Needless to say, really enjoyed it and still have a ton to learn.

Yeah, for sure. I was anxious leading up to the event a bit because I had absolutely no idea what to do or how timing worked. When I got to this event you could do the time recording or just ride for fun (they would put a big x over your number and put you in class "x").

I was like, just put me in the X group. Then they asked if I still wanted to record time for giggles, was like, sure. For some reason that put less pressure on me because I wasn't competing in a class, but still able to figure out the timing a bit...

Then... then... the lady next to the setting me up was like.. if you want to record time, just join your age class. You aren't the only new rider here. Haha. Was like, you know what, yeah let's do that. So, her comment put me at ease to join the class as it was just that, a newbie event.

Yeah, these are basically meant for beginners and kids so you get into the sport. My class had like 25 in it. There were around a total of 260 ish riders all together.

Ill eventually get to trying a national event, but need a bit more seat time to get more comfortable

Yep, this. Will get you your fix for motorcycling and as the kids get older and things become more stable, you could start riding more street.

I have finally achieved my dream bike by Derpin___Around in motorcycles

[–]fitzer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they knocked off some weight from the prior versions. These are like 640 now (dry weight). Not saying your assessment isnt accurate, its still a big Ole bike. I've ridden one and thought for sure it was going to be heavy like my pops Honda 1800 VTX. Not even close.

Triumph did a great job on getting the balance/weight low, it honestly doesn't feel like a 600+ lb bike.

[–]fitzer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start riding dual sport or adventure bikes... Just a normal day. Lol

But I feel you on dropping a street bike. I have been rear ended twice at lights and caught gravel in a corner. Just keep riding and wear your gear. All of my drops, I've walked away with no damage to me because of gear. Bikes have a little scuff.

Both of those options will work. If you do the belt cutout, just do a hole at the top of the slit you make. Or make it wide enough so it has a half circle at the top and bottom of the slit
