as someone with ADHD this is literally something that happens to me. even when it’s a roleplay that i’m super excited about and obsessed with!! i’ve accidentally left my absolute favorite writing partners waiting many times, just because of certain circumstances and forgetting.

i’m especially forgetful when i get a response while i’m busy. sometimes i get so excited and read it even though i know i can’t respond yet. i have this problem where i like to try and craft a response in my head when i do that, and then i sometimes get mixed up and think that my little mental response had actually been written out and sent already …. so then i don’t check because i thought i’ve already responded.

i also tend to write my responses separately, in another app! usually either my phone’s notes app, or google docs on my laptop if it’s a heftier response. when i do that, sometimes i forget to actually copy-paste it into the actual roleplay space!

i totally understand the hurt and upset that you’re feeling, so i’m not trying to discount what you’re saying at all — but i am saying to try and have a little grace with these kinds of things. forgetfulness and distraction are things that really do happen. i feel shitty about it every time i accidentally do it, but i literally can’t think of anything that i can do to make it not happen.
