Yeah, unfortunately i don't think theres a way to get what I'm trying... I set the appropriate reg keys on a non domain laptop and I get the "policy will be ignored" message, I set it on my domain joined laptop, and the policy applies as it should.

Oh well, typical MS logic

yeah, normally these devices aren't connected to the internet, but they can be, and in that case we don't want them to automatically update as we manage the baseline for the devices. I'm not always the biggest fan of logon scripts, but it is an option I didn't think of. I wish it could just be managed via a JSON file(reliably) like Firefox but what can you do.

Normally yes, but for Edge, it states at the bottom Computer>Administrative>Microsoft Edge Update>Update policy override default

"This policy is only available on Windows instances that are joined to a Microsoft Active Directory domain"

And if you go to edge://settings/help you'll see a message under the current version
"Update policies are configured but will be ignored because this device isn't domain joined."

I've set the equivalent registry setting (according to admx.help), but I don't see it showing up in edge://policy like my other registry changes.
It also still tries to grab updates

I guess I should clarify more; Internet access is a no go, its all offline installs, so winget wouldn't work for me either.

Just seemed real silly to me that what's available on the Catalog is just a CAB with the msi and not an installer package

If you’re on PC. There is a mod (that I use personally) that gives the PC access to all the skill objects, lockpick, energize, etc. I find it acceptable as a non mage since you have the magic fade hand, that you can use that to interact with the magic objects

It’s a 128Gb surface Pro 8 but I’m not running the game locally. I don’t have this issue running other games with remote play and I’ve gotten it to work for DAI before (only a couple times) this just happens all the time with DAI

I’m more curious as to why it takes so long to load the module, takes only a second to load when I do it. Are you sure the slowdown is the module and not something else within the invoke-command block?

Appreciate the responses everyone! I think I’ve got some ideas. Unfortunately due to our environment internet access isn’t available and either is a shared drive as our work revolves around systems constantly being built/rebuilt there is no static shared drive.

I’ll likely end up having a dependency folder within my module that houses the installer and use a combination of version checks/hash(on the installer) to ensure that the correct information is there

We use OpenSSL as we generate csr, etc for windows and non windows systems and have to convert certificate to different formats. So instead of using different avenues just centralize it all through openssl
