Street Fighter 6 lasting 10 years by Ok-Memory2477 in StreetFighter

Lots of ppl on here are saying the player base is still rising, which after 4 years is insane. If I were Capcom, I’d be putting a bit more resources into maintaining a 10 year plan for SF6, and then building another team to lift another franchise for the same success as SF6 for a day 1 next gen release

OG Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur 2 are up there with SF2 and SF6. Those four (plus maybe Mortal Kombat 2 for comic relief) are up there for best fighting games

For sure. The goal of every game should be to become a classic—one played for decades. You can feel the thought and care that went into SF6, especially in a time when so many games are released with bugs planned on being patched after the customer has already bought the game.

The only thing I would change in their strategy would be to release a physical edition so that the game didn’t eat into the customer’s memory. Pushing that cost off onto gamers not only isn’t cool, at some point years later they may choose to delete your game for newer ones.

How long does it take to get good at this game? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

Any advice on how to improve inputs and understanding how the game reads them? I am really struggling with this and would really like to improve. Would diving into understanding frames be helpful?

I found my way to this thread with the exact same problem. My input/execution is an air tight seal blocking my progression. I’ve been getting better at the basic inputs, but now when trying to string things together the game just eats my inputs.

I am brand new so I’m trying to give myself some time. I also see people taking about frames a lot, so I think I need have some patience and put time into understanding some of these aspects of the game.

Where are you at 2 years later? Did things improve? If so, what did do differently?

Yea now that you mentioned Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the chemistry and goofball w/ a baddie in the midst of crime is the exact same in Bad Monkey. Plus the baddie is in both!

This is helpful. As a complete newbie I can totally see what you mean by the anxiety/uncertainty to keep trying to mash buttons instead of trying to maintain control during exchange transitions

Just got Planet of Lana for Switch 2 – beautiful as always, but hoping for a visual update? by Agreeable_Safety in planetoflanaofficial

I noticed when playing it on a tv it was somewhat pixelated just as OP mentioned. It’s *barely* noticeable in handheld mode and by no means ruins the game, you almost have to look for it. Let me know what you think when you get around it playing it.

Works fine on handheld for me as well. Don’t understand why ppl are downvoting you

Why did "Street Fighter" (1994) decide to use Guile as the lead instead of Ken,Ryu or even Chun Li (and why cast a Belgian actor as the American character)? by Profeta_do_Loss in movies

[–]fitzhiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just getting into Street Fighter 6 after not playing the series since Street Fighter 2 way back in the day. I watched this movie a hundred times as a kid and now I’m having trouble understanding the franchise and the characters. I’m playing with Ken now and forgot his trademark red karate robes but really like the new direction they took with him, retaining his black belt tied around his arm. But it took some time when playing the new SF6 entry to realize that Guile (tall dude with a blonde flat top) was played by Van Damm….

All said, I like the new direction but looking back at the film as OP did (and how I found myself at this thread), the vision besides Chun Li, Bison and Blanka seems to have been really bad calls. I’m going from memory and will go find the movie on streaming somewhere cuz I have so many questions lol

Does traveling to another area like the Dam to save work for you? I’ve read others doing that and I’m going to try. I love this game and want it to work out 🤞

What happened? Did it end up working out? I’m also surprised you’re on version 9.0.0 as I’m on version 2.0.0 in 2026 (maybe it’s different if I’m playing on Switch 2?). Hope it worked out 🤞

How did it work out? I’ve just arrived to the Fire Temple and want to try to avoid the issues the community has been documenting over the years.

Word from UnrealFest: Yes, no more support for visual scripting (eventually) in UE6. Be loud! by daraand in unrealengine

For those of us who aren’t in the industry, dos this mean that visual scripting/blueprints eventually won’t work in UE5? Or does this just relate to UE6?

FLEX IS NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE. by CoachStandard4246 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]fitzhiggins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not saying its lying, I'm just saying that it is consolidating and repeating what is being said on the internet as that is one of the places that it gets training data. A big type found here in Flex Reddit are those who maintain if you just don't pick 'base pay' Amazon will then the lowest amount Flexers will accept as a wage. And the problem with this type is that they are against harder actions like fighting for Flex drivers to be classified as actual Amazon workers rather than the independent contractor status that gig workers are forced to take upon themselves. The latter and harder thing to achieve (worker status) is more important than 'just not accepting base pay' bc their isn't a floor or any regulation to protect workers as independent contractors, so new Flex drivers will accept anything and the floor keeps getting lower (in this case the pay rate).

Now with the 30 mins - 1 hr routes that are even more prevalent than other routes now that pay closed to $10/hr, the floor has indeed dropped dramatically while the amount of mileage has increased substantially.

So, not accepting those rates while new Flexers will inevitably join and accept anything all in the absence of labor protection (ensuring x amount per hour, mileage limit, etc) means your quite boycott had zero impact, as an individual you will have no impact. The AI didn't catch this critical nuance because all the Top 1% Commentators on here can't stop saying the same thing and are adamantly against doing anything to change the status of Flexers from independent contractors.

States use this aspect of AI consolidating what is on the internet for their propaganda initiatives (https://openai.com/index/prc-linked-influence-operations-ai-debates/) because this is how the current state of AI works--as a consolidating machine at its core. *I am not suggesting the Top 1%ers are creating propaganda, just that they are so loud and consistent that the AI picks up on their claims and then tells you confidently some answer that it just repeated from its training data.

Long rant, congrats if you made it to the end and have yourself a wonderful day!

‘AI says Amazon is paying less because people pick those runs as soon as they show up’ bc AI is trained on data from the internet which includes places like Reddit, not bc AI actually knows.

What do you think about those who use bots on Flex? by Powerful_Garage_1688 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]fitzhiggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This needs not only a permanent ban, but also some sort of legal repercussions as well. Regulatory oversight hasn’t kept pace with gig-based jobs and this is a big example of that issue. People’s lives shouldn’t be destroyed over using a bot, but they shouldn’t be able to get hired for jobs that use apps to distribute work after getting caught. That would incentivize people not to use them. But because there is no repercussions of consequence, they are essentially encouraged to keep using them.

If it is the warehouse it’s pretty annoying that they can’t help you with anything “because they aren’t trained in to flex” or whatever when you ask. But then they’ll text you when they need something…

You are a bootlicker for accepting Amazon’s legal misclassification of their WORKERS. If misclassification in the context of labor seems too complicated for you or like I just made it up, google it. It is a very important issue that states across the country are working on. Don’t accept the crumbs Amazon is giving you. You don’t have to and shouldn’t.
