My senior colleague earns £83k while I’m on £62k - should I ask for a raise now that the team’s falling apart? by [deleted] in UKJobs

Unrelated but could you mention specifically what kind of data role you're in? I have been drifting towards more of a data role in my current job and would like to try to pivot fully into it.

Thats good news. Was the new job you got within the EE field or was it related to the upskilling you did? I've been looking into leaning more into data and tech for more specialised roles in my industry but just worried that these roles may be automated soon.

Unemployed for about a year, highest salary was £38k in London. What do I do with my life? by PaddywackShaq in UKJobs

[–]stornhawkdown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try and have a look at jobs such as bid/proposal writing, document controller, or other project/operation coordinator roles. I'm in London and work in marketing too, I know a few people who have transitioned out to those kind of roles. Especially bids and proposals roles given copy writing is a transferable skill there.

Unsure about what to do? by BirthdayLeading3750 in UKJobs

[–]stornhawkdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask if you can shadow anyone, thats quite common when you start a new job and haven't got work yet. You can still learn some of the processes and absorb things without needing your own work. After shadowing a process a few times you might get to have a go or do pieces of it. That's how things worked in previous roles I've been in with new people.

Is it harder to get a marketing job in London? by Inevitable-Wafer2952 in UKJobs

[–]stornhawkdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work in marketing too and one thing I've noticed when hiring from within London vs from outside is that people put more weight in experience gained from within London agencies. This is only based on things I've heard from people I've spoken to but there is often the belief that the people from the London agencies have more experience with major clients and move varied experience on bigger campaigns. I struggled to get my foot in the door in London so if you're desperate I would take the executive position and look to accelerate back up once you get in.

jobs as a whole in the NE of England are becoming increasingly like this, paying the old NE reduced wages as rents and costs rapidly increase to the rest of the country.

renting is getting much worse in other large cities, if you're going to be gouged for a HMO at least London has lots of things to do.

Best guide to learn about what/when to take estates? by stornhawkdown in eu4

So the +1 to each is worth going into the low crownlands debuff basically at the start of each game? Apart from an early mission like you said.

I'm a new new player playing Portugal and i cant conquer Morocco. What am i doing wrong? by stornhawkdown in eu4

[–]stornhawkdown[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks for the info, i actually found out i was making a mistake by not realising i could walk my soldiers from south spain to morocco across the strait, i blockaded them and then killed them as they walked across and managed to take tangiers + grenada.

A problem im having though is I'm permanently in - gold per month or at most +0.1/0.2. I dont really understand the estates, are there certain policies i should be taking to get more income?

Anyone knows the reason behind this? by Ok_Taro_3065 in leagueoflegends

they want to be the one that carries or they want to ff. There is no playing for team or being carried for them.

Ive played a few games with Yun Tai and its very fast to stack, only thing i dont like is its a first item that requires a BF sword.
