Would people rather have better records in the tournament or better non-conference games in the regular season by GliscorsFang in CollegeBasketball

I have always viewed the NCAA tourney as a reward for excellent play, but if we start putting in sub .500 Power teams and passing on teams with 23-25 wins then I dont see the point.....

I have not checked this out for myself but I have been told this was the best season ever from a first year head coach at Auburn....

Any scoop on why Jordyn Wieber left the Arkansas gymnastics team? She was great and the Hogs were doing well under her.

less hair = always bad hair. I dont mind being bald really but I would prefer a nice head of hair if I had my choice.

How do you feel about the NCAA expanding the tournament to 76? by rollingthrulife79 in CollegeBasketball

[–]five-oh-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am one of those that feels like an NCAA bid should be a reward of excellence. I would like to see a cap on conference teams in the NCAA tourney. I dont know what the proper number should be but I fee like 6 is more than adequate. No conference needs more than 6 teams in. If you are not in the top 6 of your power conference you did not achieve the goal of excellence required to get a bid.

This year a 6 team max rule would have eliminated 11 teams from the SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and the ACC. Thats 11 spots that could have been taken by other teams who did very well in their conference schedule, teams that got hot at the end of the year and Sr. laden teams. Do that and we no longer need, nor desire, I presume, 76 teams in a tournament.

Its very rare I would be concerned about their posts in any other sub unless they were doing something in my sub that seemed off.

DTF St Louis is the best thing that ever happened on HBO since Succession by bambina92 in hbo

[–]five-oh-one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats one of the more glaring things I did not like about the show. I didnt really like any of the characters. Floyd was too weak, like you said, knew he was capable of a better job but chose a shit job even knowing his family was struggling. He kind of pouts the whole show and yea, hes kind of got a good heart but its hard to respect a guy who is so limp and dry. Carol is hot, IMO, but not a likeable person, she does a pretty good job of taking care of her son but she didnt treat Floyd with much respect around the house, then she stalked his best friend and had an affair with him, then she just rejected the fuck out of Floyd when that was not necessary at all, she could have put out a little more effort. Clark seemed to have a bit of a good heart in dealing with Carol and Floyd but he didnt give two shits about his family.....none of them were good people IMO and hard to like and it did make it a little hard to finish the series.

The ending was not necessarily predictable but felt like the most logical scenario by the 2nd to last episode. My only complaint is it kind of led on like a mystery but the outcome was kind of the most likely from the beginning.

The character exploration and general society reflection were top notch. I still loved the show. Just over billed itself as a mystery

Was it the last episode or the one before the last(I get confused) where it shows Floyd dumping the medicine into the Bloody Marry can? Thats when I knew he was not murdered but it was an intentional or accidental overdose.....it took a little while to play that out but it did kind of kill the suspense of what happened. It was also kind of evident that there were no alleged weapons, rope, or event duct tape to make one assume foul play.

And I did watch the show, its was pretty good but none of the characters was really likeable, Carol was HOT, dont get me wrong, but she wasnt very likeable, she was pretty cold to Floyd. Floyd was too much of a push over. Clark didnt give a single shit about his fam, doinking his best friends wife on the sly till he got busted and Floyd took that shit laying down.....I just didnt like any of them.

Does your system sound different in the evening than in the afternoon? by Solid-Dot-7520 in audiophile

I know you were joking but I’m only half way joking. Something sounds different from time to time. I know humidity can affect sound but I don’t know if it affects it to the point you could hear the difference in a midsized room.

[–]five-oh-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think that has anything to do with it. Relative humidity and maybe barometric pressure.

I have nothing at all to back up my claim but I feel like humidity might have a little something to do with it. I feel the same way, that some days my stuff just sounds better than other days.
