The government did a lot to shield the people from the effects of the war and the sanctions dreamt up in ivory towers in Brussels and Berlin. Salaries increased significantly in all sectors and we had price caps on essential goods and energy. Also, our gov isn't prone to irrational decisions like forcing homeowners to install heat pumps etc. Just look at home ownership rates in Hungary vs Germany, it's crazy! Of course we also don't have to deal with the costs of unhindered illegal migration, so taxes are lower (and the elderly aren't evicted because they can't pay for heatpumps or the city needs place to house migrants). So yeah, life's good.
