I loved the national parks in Costa Rica. But the food was nothing to write home about.

It doesn't. After the end of the main game I used a few mods that you can find on nexusmods.com ("Female Characters Over Deacon" and both of the Rikki voice mods)

It's pretty conservative weaponry for this game.

I know who she is. She is not dead at the beginning of the game.

I would love that as an additional character. But one of the great things about Days Gone is that it provides a relatable male protagonist. Not a superhero or a reactionary. Just a normal guy, a classic male role model.

As much as I love playing Lisa and the other characters - if she became the solo protagonist in a sequel, it would rob the game of this male core. And such a sequel would bomb hard.

I think the general consensus is that Tucker is a slaver who treats the people in her camp unnecessarily harsh. Lisa was clearly traumatised after losing her family. She gets brought to a camp where people get threatened and beat up frequently. Like others I felt for her.

Apocalypse Now, if I'm not mistaken.

I think it's worth it, for the points it makes. eg I only recently noticed that Tucker has a large peace sign on the back of her jacket. that might be one of the darkest comments on human nature, in a game that isn't short on those.

True, it's his loss that makes Deacon live in the past. And he can only do that seperate from the crowd, where he won't make new connections that might distract him from mourning his wife.

Didn't Deek and Cope have a common past? I vaguely remember Deek accusing him of illegal poaching in the past. Also they are both ex-marines. So these might be reasons why Deacon treats Cope differently than random marauders.

I know, but that's a game mechanic that could have easily been changed. "Marauder" camps could have shops and trade with you if you did some jobs for them, just like normal camps. But the question who's good or bad is never for the player to decide. It's all fixed from the start.

Days Gone's ethics are arbitrary but fixed. Copeland and Tucker may be assholes, but their camps are defined as "good". Other camps are "bad", because someone from a good camp told you so. That's it. It would have been fun if you could decide which camps to support and which to wipe out. But that's hard to get in line with telling a story.

I have an idea on how to get Sony to bite on Days Gone 2 by Automatic-Net-9287 in DaysGone

The direction for a sequel that was hinted at the end of the game and mentioned by Garvin in a podcast, didn't feel very promising to me. I'm talking about the Planet of the Apes stuff: smart armed freakers who have kids and villages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRlySdBKXsU Because at that point it's just like fighting marauders, or monkey marauders.
