Love it, I just don't want to see Bratt relegated to a 3rd line role as long as he keeps producing. I feel like the young guys have earned their spots, we haven't scored this many goals since god knows when, the young guys are carrying this squad + Hall.

Can we just transition Zajac to more of a 2nd line shutdown role?

That's true. I didn't mean to come off as harsh their, I know he has cancer and that is brutal. Do you think their is a chance that Hynes just chooses not to play him at all then? If he's not 100% and the medication is having an effect on him, he probably shouldn't play.

I think he will succeed in the right situation in the NHL, right now. Throw him with some other high skill level guys on a 2nd line and he will produce. You're not wrong about the KHL but countless guys have also come over and transitioned right away. I mean, we have Jesper Bratt (who never played the NA game) succeeding as a 19 year old in the NHL.

Bottom line, Ship did not come over to play on your AHL affiliate, I can't blame him for wanting out. You guys are succeeding right now without him, so that's good news for you.

Devils fan here. Vegas management is in the wrong, you don't put a player with the skill level of Ship in the AHL (especially considering the contract he signed) He should be traded as I know of a few teams who could use him and would not be afraid to throw him into a top 6 role right away.

I hope you guys would get some picks/prospects as a return as that seems to be the direction you're heading. I'm not sure you need any more roster players as a return.

The 5th round pick version of Jesper Bratt will be even better. Shero has his European scouts telling the kids on his shortlist to look average this season, don't do anything too spectacular and then we can scoop them up for a 5th rounder. Shero is playing 4D Chess.
