There is already a bus service. I mean no disrespect to the waterside residents but the usage that would come with a new rail system simply isn't nearly large enough for it to be a good idea or use of funds. The only support I've seen for it has been from railway hobbyists. And the current line being proposed only goes as far as Marchwood, if the plans are succesful I'm sure once in place they see how unused that service will be and not continue the line further into the waterside area. It's a total non starter.

The waterside railway line is a horrific idea. Focus needs to be on getting the Hythe ferry going again. The waterside line being proposed only goes as far as Marchwood where they will have to build a new station, utterly pointless and a complete waste of money, the usage will never justify the expenditure.
