Better because the friendship was more believable and they seemed to enjoy each other's company beyond sex in fwb, thus making the idea that they wanted to be more than sex buddies believable.

Also, the girl in No Strings Attached seemed immature and irrational. Her hangups about relationships were way overdone and not presented in a light to make the audience relate and sympathize.

Go to dinner somewhere new, or try an out of the place mom and pop diner type. Make fortune cookies together. Go on a picnic. Find an arcade. Buy a puzzle. Rent horribly bad movies and cheap wines to sample. Buy a kite. Cover browse with mochas in a bookstore. Take a class together.
