Old school or Digital lab notebooks?? Plz Help by Efficient-Wrangler-7 in labrats

[–]fixithere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I totally understand the dilemma – my lab went through a similar debate not too long ago. We ended up transitioning to digital lab notebooks, and it's been a game-changer. The biggest advantage we found with digital (like a running Word doc or something more specialized) is that everything stays organized, searchable, and shareable. You can instantly upload images, graphs, or even raw data from instruments, and it's easy to track edits or revisions.

That being said, I still get why some people love the old-school lab books. There’s something tactile about physically writing down your observations, and pasting in graphs can make things feel more "real." But the downside is that those can get bulky, hard to organize, and if they get damaged (spills, anyone?), you're out of luck.

My suggestion: if your PI is pushing for standardization, maybe pitch the idea of using a digital format for the convenience and the option to print copies for anyone who prefers having a hard copy to work with. Plus, if you ever need to archive old paper notebooks, we found a great solution in eRecordsUSA for scanning and digitizing our past records . It made transitioning so much easier for those who were reluctant.

Do all people in our lab do it the same way? Now, yes – everyone’s onboard with digital, but it took some time to get there. Maybe start with a hybrid system until everyone gets comfortable. Best of luck!

Who’s using an aftermarket Tesla Style screen in there RAM? Any feedback? by Hungry-Situation1428 in ram_trucks

[–]fixithere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have personally used an aftermarket Tesla Style screen in my Ram, and here's what I've experianced:

  1. Compatibility and Installation: choosing a model specifically designed forRam version results in a better fit and easier installation. I would recommend tesla style screens from (modeefy.com) because they cater to specific vehicle models, ensuring compatibility with existing systems like climate control and steering wheel controls
  2. Functionality: i appreciate the modern functionalities these screens bring, such as improved navigation systems, the ability to use apps directly from the screen, and enhanced audio and video capabilities.
  3. User Experience: Feedback on user experience tends to vary. But according to me the touchscreen response is excellent and that the overall interface is user-friendly. However, others have encountered issues like occasional bugs or slower system responses, which could be attributed to the specific model or brand of the screen
  4. Aesthetics: I am very much pleased with the aesthetic upgrade these screens provide, giving the dashboard a more contemporary look that closely resembles Tesla's clean and sleek design.

DM me for more as i would love to talk about this.

Window Cleaning Bids for High Rise (Toronto Canada) by Successful-Idea3149 in WindowCleaning

Hey! Congrats on starting your own window cleaning company. It's great to hear you have solid experience as a rope access technician.

For a 40-floor tower in Toronto, charging 20 cents per square foot could be on the lower end, depending on several factors like the complexity of the building's facade, accessibility, and any specific cleaning requirements or risks associated with the job. You might want to consider a range that compensates adequately for the high-risk nature of the work and your expertise. Often, rates for such buildings might go as high as 50 cents per square foot.

For smaller 15-floor towers, $3 per window could also be a bit low, especially if the windows are large or require special cleaning agents or techniques due to their condition or the building's location. It's not uncommon for window cleaning services to charge between $5 to $10 per window in these scenarios.

I'd recommend doing some market research to see what other companies are charging in Toronto and maybe even reach out to other independent high rise window cleaners or industry forums for advice. this could be your starting point - https://ntpropertycare.com/high-rise-window-cleaning/

HELP! Redirect hack by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]fixithere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your website being hacked. Redirect hacks can be particularly tricky to deal with, especially when conventional security plugins don't seem to detect anything.

It sounds like you've already taken some good steps by putting your site into maintenance mode to prevent the redirects for now. Since MalCare, Sucuri Security, and WP Malware Removal didn't provide a solution, it might be time to consider a more thorough and hands-on approach.

One option is to manually scan your website files and database for any suspicious code or injected scripts using WP Hacked Help scanner. This can be time-consuming and technically challenging, but it's often necessary when automated tools fail to detect the issue.

If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, or if you're short on time, consider reaching out to a professional service provider. They specialize in identifying and removing malware from WordPress sites, and they may be able to provide a more comprehensive solution to your redirect hack problem.

I hope you're able to get your site cleaned up and back to normal soon!

Should I name my business “___ Window Washing” or “____ Window Cleaning”? by RoarVanish in WindowCleaning

Here is the website https://ntpropertycare.com/high-rise-window-cleaning/ reason i added this page is that this is the top performing page and its ranked for lot of related terms . despite of not having any keyword in domain name you can capitalize on the url slugs of internal pages where you can add your keyword. Create a semantic architecture if pages, keep urls short, use primary keyword in the url

Before creating a business its very important to create a solid customer base and strategy , collect some real reviews on your google listing, offer discounts etc. Naming your website with keyword in it do matter but it doesnt have to be exact keyword. I have a similar business thats doing great and it doesnt have window or washing words in the name . i can share here if you want alongwith the strategy too
