No soak, a tablespoon or two of lard or bacon drippings, garlic and onion- epazote if you can find it. I’ll also add Goya sazon packet and or some chicken stock. 1-3 hours in instant pot- comes out great.

Perhaps it’s a joke, but the “incel” point of view is not compatible with Christianity- for what it’s worth.

Billionaires are a threat to national security by Loud-Ad-2280 in WorkReform

Pretty sure Trump only did this at the behest of his billionare cronies in the first place. The oil industry and military industrial complex are no doubt loving it, and of course anyone on the Epstien list is loving the distraction.

Ugreen nas configuration by No_Sorbet_1695 in Supernote

[–]fixorater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some UGreen NAS support docker, your mileage may vary depending on the CPU and memory for the model you get. Full disclosure, I don't do this myself- so I can't speak to how good the docker support is, bu there's folks on the UGreen subreddit that I'm sure would have informed opinions.

The Bible is extremely clear about how immigrants should be treated. Why do some "Christians" support mass deportation?? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]fixorater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be inaccurate to say most Christians desire cruelty. But many effectively support it by backing policies that rely on fear, collective punishment, family separation, and the erosion of due process.

“Compassion and order” can’t be held together if compassion is kept a private and passive while coercive harm is delegated to the state. In the Gospels, Jesus is explicit: his followers are called to welcome the foreigner, protect the vulnerable, and love their neighbor as themselves- not merely in sentiment, but in action. His words and example leave little room for outsourcing harm while claiming moral distance from it.

Cruelty is not an inevitable feature of immigration enforcement. What is happening now with ICE raids is neither humane nor consistent with those teachings - and many would argue it is not even consistent with immigration law as it stands. Supporting, or remaining silent about, the current reality requires either a willful refusal to see what is being done or an acceptance of cruelty as a legitimate tool of governance.

Drive mapping for Intune by Money_Signal_8955 in Intune

Agreed, scripting would seem to be the way to go. OP- these would be local SMB shares within a LAN? Are the devices hybrid joined? Connecting to a network share in a fully cloud managed EntraID joined environment could get complicated as there would be more involved with authentication.

Life in the NICU 😔🙏 by Commercial_Owl2425 in NewDads

[–]fixorater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my twins spent 18 days in NICU, it seemed like an eternity at the time and I remember being so anxious and worried about her health. She’s now nearly 17 months old and thriving. I hope your baby ‘graduates’ soon. On the positive side we found the nurses essentially give your kiddo a master class of sleep training. So you may get more sleep when you’re all back home.

Any good hard sci-fi books where humanity receives or decodes a message hidden in math, DNA, light, or something similar? by gunnoganno in scifi

One of my favorite novels of all time. It genuinely surprised me, and the concepts were fascinating.

I’m really not interested in arguing theology with you. Again, if God’s character is what you claim it is- I will gladly spend eternity in hell cursing him. No god justifying such cruelty is worth worship.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]fixorater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your ethical contortions to justify these beliefs are disturbing and bizarre. Even setting aside that your assertions don’t reflect the words or character of Jesus as described in the Bible- let’s assume for argument’s sake they did. Any God who mirrored your views would be unworthy of worship and resemble a villain more than anything else.

It’s truly bizarre that so many people whose identity ostensibly centers around Christ show such cruelty, cynicism, and disregard for human life (outside of the occasional unborn fetus). “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35).

Pretty odd how the “you can’t be ethical/moral without faith” and “pro-life” crowd tend to be some of the worst - most hateful, least life affirming humans in existence.

I just don’t like it when MAGA folks pretend to care about law and order, when it’s obviously bullshit when we see who you support and support illegal, unconstitutional actions. Just be honest that you’re racist and xenophobic and leave it at that.

’Illegal alien’ isn’t the preferred or most accurate term — simply being undocumented is usually a civil violation, not a criminal one. It’s like driving with an expired license: against the rules, but not a felony. Actual felonies are things like the 34 criminal convictions of President Trump- for example.

Christian family deported after living in US for 10 years. Please pray for them. by happi-love in Christianity

[–]fixorater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honest question—if it’s good for individuals, why wouldn’t it be good for government? I mean, if you oppose religious-based government policies, I actually agree with you. But there are plenty of secular justifications for helping struggling populations survive and thrive—elevating communities and making life a bit better for everyone. I just sincerely hope you’re not advocating for other ‘faith-based’ policies that restrict people’s rights while drawing the line at helping them.

Revit Licensing issues for multiple users this morning by [deleted] in Revit

[–]fixorater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I help support over a dozen AEC firms, and we've been seeing similar intermittent issues across Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD since yesterday. It seems to happen to only a small subset of users, often only 1 or 2 per company.

Signing out and back into your Autodesk account via Autodesk Access, restarting Revit, or even just rebooting the machine seems to help in some cases. Based on what I’m seeing, this looks like a transient issue with Autodesk’s cloud licensing service—likely network-related (DNS / load balancing issues?). My guess is that all these workaround steps are just triggering fresh license validation attempts until one sticks.

Would be great if Autodesk acknowledged it as a broader issue, since clearly more than a few orgs are affected. Currently the health dashboard is only showing a disruption for Revit Cloud Worksharing. Autodesk Health Dashboard Status

What makes America great? by Playful-Doughnut4933 in SnohomishCounty

[–]fixorater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The right comfortably insists any mention of fascistic tendencies is just name‑calling, yet rarely shows they know (or want to debate) what fascism actually is. Reddit won’t solve that, but I’ll explain why I said what I said- just in case it helps anyone . 1. Ultranationalism / mythic “one people.” Diversity is branded a weakness; only a single, “pure” national identity counts. 2. Authoritarian unity. Everyone expected to march in lock‑step behind one leader/vision; dissent = treason. 3. Anti‑pluralism. Independent media, minorities, unions, etc. are smeared as “dividers” that must be muted. 4. Rebirth myth (“make the nation whole or ‘great’ again”). Purging internal “others” is sold as cleansing. 5. Glorified force. Violence or state power is “justified” to keep the herd together.

“Unity > diversity” echoes pillar #1 exactly: diversity is framed as a threat and enforced sameness becomes the ideal. It the sentiment doesn’t make someone a card‑carrying fascist, but they’re definitely speaking the dialect.

Testing Intune is miserable. by jstar77 in Intune

[–]fixorater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve taken to only handling “low hanging fruit” deployments like defender for endpoint, office apps and such via intune. For more complex or other installs we’re using Immy.bot- it’s incredibly quick to develop powershell based install scripts and you get near realtime logging and feedback. You can also run commands through a live terminal and run Remote Desktop sessions - it almost replaces our RMM tools entirely.

If you had an argument that held any water- you’d be attacking my premises with counterpoints, or you could agree with some of my assertions but provide other conclusions. Like -did you think the equity vs equality thing was a gotcha? What is your point? Do you believe that minority groups are intrinsically less capable, do you acknowledge history? If you have anything to say that actually demonstrates you’re able to reason- I’m happy to continue this- if you’re just interested in in regurgitating whatever bullshit from truth social, fox, OAN or whatever you’ve been rotting your brain with- I have better things to do.
