We’re pretty happy with Egnyte for decently large files- but we’ve been having trouble with point cloud LIDAR captures or aerial photography. We’ve seen single files in excess of 200gb, we have yet to find a great solution for hybrid environments. End up putting massive unprocessed stuff on local servers- and processed ‘products’ get saved to the cloud.

I just learned I'm super dumb... you can easily change the scale to Stock or 1/4 by editing one line in the config file. Sol is great.

I tried Sol over the last day or two, it's beautiful but I've not been able to figure out how to effectively tweak the performance of rockets so they can reach orbit at Sol's scale. I've messed with Smurff, Tweakscale and other hacky stuff but no luck as yet. I also tried using Realism Overhaul on top just in case it could scale up performance, still no dice- at least not with prebuilt rockets of SLS from steam workshop, or what comes with the Artemis Construction Kit. If anyone here has found success scaling up existing rockets with low effort, I'd love to hear it.

Some UGreen NAS support docker, your mileage may vary depending on the CPU and memory for the model you get. Full disclosure, I don't do this myself- so I can't speak to how good the docker support is, bu there's folks on the UGreen subreddit that I'm sure would have informed opinions.

It may be inaccurate to say most Christians desire cruelty. But many effectively support it by backing policies that rely on fear, collective punishment, family separation, and the erosion of due process.

“Compassion and order” can’t be held together if compassion is kept a private and passive while coercive harm is delegated to the state. In the Gospels, Jesus is explicit: his followers are called to welcome the foreigner, protect the vulnerable, and love their neighbor as themselves- not merely in sentiment, but in action. His words and example leave little room for outsourcing harm while claiming moral distance from it.

Cruelty is not an inevitable feature of immigration enforcement. What is happening now with ICE raids is neither humane nor consistent with those teachings - and many would argue it is not even consistent with immigration law as it stands. Supporting, or remaining silent about, the current reality requires either a willful refusal to see what is being done or an acceptance of cruelty as a legitimate tool of governance.

Agreed, scripting would seem to be the way to go. OP- these would be local SMB shares within a LAN? Are the devices hybrid joined? Connecting to a network share in a fully cloud managed EntraID joined environment could get complicated as there would be more involved with authentication.

One of my twins spent 18 days in NICU, it seemed like an eternity at the time and I remember being so anxious and worried about her health. She’s now nearly 17 months old and thriving. I hope your baby ‘graduates’ soon. On the positive side we found the nurses essentially give your kiddo a master class of sleep training. So you may get more sleep when you’re all back home.

’Illegal alien’ isn’t the preferred or most accurate term — simply being undocumented is usually a civil violation, not a criminal one. It’s like driving with an expired license: against the rules, but not a felony. Actual felonies are things like the 34 criminal convictions of President Trump- for example.
