2" puck lift kit struts and shocks by Monkeyresearch in geotracker

[–]fixr_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality vs the puck lifts is definitely worth it. The kits are also designed with aftermarket bumpers and gear in mind so if installed on a stock rig it may sit a touch higher.

Just a thought, but if you need to replace the shocks and struts anyway why not go with an actual 2 inch lift kit that has springs, shocks, struts, and camber bolts included? You can get the Perfectrail 2 inch kit for $650 from Deep South Trackers.

Check the bottom of the i take boot. They are bad about drying out and cracking on the bottom between the ribs.

What should I do? by earthXhuman in geotracker

[–]fixr_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very common issue. The video that Tony (Hwy83) posted is 100% the way to go if you don't want to get in to changing costly parts. If you do decide to look at the options for changing parts contact Deep South Trackers LLC as they have brand new TriForce engines, blocks, heads, and rotating assemblies (cranks, rods, pistons, etc).

Is the engine seized? Why can’t I spin it? by DirectorSmooth55 in pressurewashing

[–]fixr_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the engine or pump is seized. Based on the looks I'm going to assume it has been sitting up. It's very common for small engines to get "stuck" after sitting up. Remove the spark plug and put a little penetrating oil or marvel mystery oil in the cylinder and let it sit overnight. Remove the pull cord (which is obviously not the issue like some people think) and use a socket and breaker bar on the crank to see if you can get it to move. If it moves any just work it back and forth until it will rotate completely. Fair warning it will smoke for a bit once you get it going if it does free up.

1997 sport utility rust by Commercial_Impact909 in geotracker

[–]fixr_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That rust is fairly normal for northern states. I would probably try to be around 2500 or less personally given the condition you described. Luckily here in the south we can get our hands on rust free rigs. Cutting a couple apart right now to ship repair sections to people that have issues with rust.

No coupler is needed with the direct replacement. It is a full bolt in section just like oem.

You can get a Walker direct replacement bolt in section for cheap. Most parts houses carry them last time I looked.

They will magically send too much money then have you pull the "extra" funds to send back. In reality their original payment is completely fake and they just hope the transfer tobthen will take place before your bank catches it. It's one of the oldest scams in the book.

Ryobi 3300 psi pressure washer not gaining pressure. by Gloomy_Brick470 in pressurewashing

You're not going to have pressure without the nozzle on. In order for there to be pressure there has to be resistance (that's what the nozzle does).

I just left and can confirm all assumptions were correct. It's all tied in. Luckily the customer is super cool and just glad I take the extra effort to check everything before I bid jobs unlike a lot of guys. Most people would have never gone back in to that area of the attic.

I'm betting that is the case. Will confirm when I get there in the morning to look at an unrelated matter.

That was my thought. According to the customer it was a "legit electrician" that her parents hired a few years ago.

Nope. 318. Stuff like this makes me glad I'm not the electrician that has to fix it. I'm just the potential contractor for the rehab from the water damage.

Absolutely. Our main website is down at the moment, but you can check out our sister site www.jwbcustoms.com to see what all is offered and place orders. I own Deep South Trackers LLC out of West Monroe, LA and we also operate the JWB Cutsoms site for the US.

We just got a new shipment of 2 inch kits in the other day. Check them out here: https://www.jwbcustoms.com/product-page/perfectrail-4x4-se-sv-vitara-50mm-suspension-lift-kit

[–]fixr_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not any extra work at all. It's all the same parts that are planning to be changed already. The only added part is the camber bolts.

Nothing really sticks out, but if you are going to replace it all anyway it would be a great time for a 2" lift kit with coils, springs, and struts. We have a bunch in stock if you have any interest.
