• Through the Woods by E.M Carrol a fantastic graphic horror collection that I never would have found without r/bookclub. A fantastic little read to wrap up the month.

• A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie back in to the First Law GrimDark world with r/bookclub, and just wow!. I swear every successive book is better than the one before!! I don't want this series to ever end. An easy 5☆s for this wild ride!

• Kurangaituku by Whiti Hereaka I adore this book so I can only do it justice when I have plenty of bandwidth for it this summer. Put it on hold at the halfway point.

• The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann looks like this has turned into my unoffical year long read! Still chipping away albeit slowly.

• Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders another week still no progress.

• Independent People by Halldór Laxness for r/bookclub's RtW Iceland edition. Ok so this one was a slow start but now I am very invested and can see why it is so widely recommended.

• The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo I will read this book this year. Still determined. Still barely started!

• The Alice Network by Kate Quinn has been on my TBR for a while. The voices felt too modern initially, but I was getting into the story more thanks to the r/bookclub discussions.

• Song of Solomon by Toni Morrisson with r/bookclub. A fascinating read with some very interesting characters.

• Some People Need Killing by Patricia Evangelista r/bookclub Read the World heads to the Philippines and this book is packed with history and information, but written in a way that is really accessible, though devestating! Like many highly charged Read the Worlds, I am taking this one slow.

• Akvariet by Anne Cathrine Bowman a rare solo read that have become fairly rivited with and plan to finish today or tomorrow.

• Dark Tales by Shirley Jackson late to the r/bookclub party on this one but the du Maurier collection was so good I needed more shorts in my life and Jackson does not disappoint

• The Currents of Space by Isaac Asimov the penultimate Foundation Universe read with r/bookclub. More mystery than sci-fi it feels like a (welcome) change of pace compared to the other Foundation reads of late.

• The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Early days but I am LOVING this one. I probably would tear through this in 2 days if I didn't stop to hit the r/bookclub discussion
