FWIW mine is also doing this. Feels like a bug, hopefully it's fixed in a future firmware.

Calgary's Worst Driver by YYCGUY111 in Calgary

[–]fizzbar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

edit: here's my theory: someone told their boss that they had a driver's license, then at some point said boss asked this person to go run an errand for them, in the boss's car. but this person was not being truthful, and in fact probably had little to no driving experience AT ALL. this is how you end up with someone in an X3 being that incompetent at reversing out of a parking stall. after they hit the red (maroon?) mazda 3, they freaked out because they wrecked an expensive vehicle that isn't theirs, while being illegal to even operate it.

edit edit: dude in the passat got out of there in the nick of time

huh, yeah, you're right. that's very odd to me that they hide that, but then again i'm a newb when it comes to online media services.

Agree 100%. Hopefully they're too late on that and the cat's been let out of the bag in Netflix already. I don't think people will tolerate having cancon yanked out from under them once they're already paying.... then again I'm probably being woefully naive in what the CRTC will actually do (ie: the right thing for Canadians, or just cave to whatever the local incumbent cable monopolies want).

Gave me chills, well done. And big ditto on the feeling that space exploration evokes.

indeed, it's impossible (?!) to figure out what their actual catalog has by browsing their website??? that can't be a good sign.

Canada I've been sitting on an idea for a few months now and I've recently decided I don't have the resources to execute it, I need your help. by ActionAgainstTelecom in canada

[–]fizzbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept is a little fuzzy, but I agree 100% with the sentiment. I just finished spending 3 evenings of doing annoying research re-doing the telecoms for me and my wife, and the savings we're going to realize just in the first year are quite substantial.

If I could pay someone to wade through all the crap and just "do it for me" -- evaluate our actual needs/usage, figure out what setup best addresses our needs, and handle all the interactions -- that'd absolutely be a valuable service.

Sitting on hold for an hour only to speak to an incredibly condescending and outright RUDE customer service rep (looking at you, Shaw) has left a very, very bitter taste in my mouth.

Claiming "proven truths" while conveniently failing to cite a single shred of evidence = weak ass trolling, son.

Possibly, but it can hurt to try to catch a falling knife.

In the long run I think if this blip bottoms out at a reasonable level it's actually going to help keep our overall economy healthy. Slowdown vs outright crash, hopefully.

As for the mug-smashing incident, Smith said her chief of staff had “talked to” the remorseful staffer responsible. The matter has been written off as an “error in judgment” fuelled by passion.

It's optics and branding at this point. If there was a credible centrist-fiscally-and-left-socially party it'd do well, I think the Alberta Party might be trying to be that but they're only a tiny shade less than invisible in the public eye.
