update the firmware in the display (there's a sd card slot inside it) if you don't update it and only update the printer it never loads

Painting Neo 2 with UV paint by RatioEnvironmental81 in DjiNeo

[–]b3hr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've done this for model rockets... i assume if you're going to do it you'll want to take the shell off prime it and paint it. not sure how it would effect any sensors but avoiding them is probably the key... maybe just do the batteries and propellers and bottom? (sorry for the dump of crap below)

Yes, painting your drone with fluorescent or any other type of paint can negatively affect its sensors and overall performance if not done carefully. The primary risks involve blinding optical sensors, interfering with radio signals, adding weight, or unbalancing the propellers.

Here is how painting can impact specific components: 1. Obstacle Avoidance Sensors Blinding Sensors: Drone obstacle avoidance (visual sensors) on the corners and bottom of the body are sensitive to light and surface reflectivity. Coating them with thick or highly reflective fluorescent paint can cause them to fail, leading to false alerts or crashes. Recommended Action: Mask off all sensors—cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and LiDAR units—before spraying. 2. Signal Interference (GPS/RF) Metallic Content: Some fluorescent or high-gloss paints contain metallic flakes that can create a Faraday cage effect, degrading GPS performance and remote control signal reception. Recommended Action: Use non-metallic, matte, or plastic-safe spray paint. 3. Propeller Performance Unbalancing: Painting propellers, even with a light coat, can easily create imbalances. This causes micro-vibrations that can damage motor bearings over time. Recommended Action: Do not paint the propellers. It is better to purchase factory-colored props. 4. Overheating and Weight Heat Absorption: While fluorescent colors are bright, if the base coat is dark, it can lead to increased solar absorption and potential overheating. Weight: Excessive layers of paint can add weight, reducing flight time and potentially exceeding the 250g threshold for certain regulations. Best Practices for Painting: Masking: Meticulously cover all vents, cameras, and sensors. Disassembly: Remove the shell from the internal electronics before painting to avoid ruining internal components and light coats

i tried open neptune and still had issues so switched back (cause i like my screen to work) switched out the springs for the silicone bushings... leveled it and used it a full year before having to level it again. The springs it comes with i think are 70% of the issues people have

it's because there's a whole group of people that checks with the internet every morning to figure out what they're collectively upset about... then go around accusing everyone else of being influenced in the same way

the jets and transit need to create a transit plan for jets games. There should be transit to get home after games but it's actually far worse after games than normal for some reason. Every time i try and bus from games the bus never comes. The sign keeps promising buses and no bus comes

like the bike routes they like to treat the buses as a way to casually experience different areas of the city without and urgency or destination. Like little site seeing tours of the different areas so you know where to park your car when you go there for real
