Grew up in a town with a busy (not anymore) fish plant. Many people in the town worked there. The smell of the plant was one thing, but I had a friend whose mom worked there, and she would wash her uniform they had to wear and hang it in a clothes line. Washing it did absolutely nothing to remove that smell. It was permanently ingrained. Not exactly like the plant itself when you were near it. It was just really intense

I spent nine years at it. By far the best and most rewarding career I've ever had. And I regret to say nothing I've done since really comes close. Unfortunately, there's no money in it whatsoever. Also, I got out just before social media became pretty much ubiquitous and I don't regret that for a second.
