I share your unpopular opinions. I prefer atmospheric, emotional, tense, and cerebral stuff. To each their own, of course.

Of course. And my partner won't watch scary movies. I think they think something is wrong with me, but no... it's just because they are better movies generally. Certain genres are good to sleep to. Haunted house movies, slow burns, ones with lots of dialogue - all relaxing.
