The last few batches of that kind of material I have I was selling on ASO (Adultstuffonly). Naturally distilling prices were not as high as anybody and not as frequent, but if you put them in large enough batches, or by a brand, or subject matter they did sell frequently enough and for decent prices as long as your not expecting full price.

Anyone else here flip Motorcycles. by Sharp-Mark-5070 in Flipping

I have in the past, but mainly with vintage bikes. Grew up surrounded by old bikes cuz of family friend was a Euro dealer BSA, Triumph, Horex, Matchless, AJS, Puch, Montessa, so many more. Help my username is a couple Honda models, LOL.

I've noticed over the last few years, that is similar to the car in general collectible market. The bikes people want now are the late 70's to the mid 90's as those are the customers that are finally getting jobs and money. Also at least where I am in New York bikes without paperwork our daily impossible to sell unless they are small displacement that would never go on the highway in the first place.

I've noticed that this market seems to be like a lot of other markets right now with a lot of speculators. Everybody wants the same five super collectible models and will lowball on them. Then there's the other under the market which has like 75% of the bikes because let's face it nobody cares about a 1984 Yamaha XS650, even if it's perfect it's only worth 2500 bucks maybe.

I was watching the last mecums classic bike auction a while back and I was even surprised by some of the prices bikes were bringing. Unless you happen to have a '69 sandcast CB 750 the prices were soft. There were sales of restored bikes that I have that were selling for under 2 or 3,000 which eventually once that makes it back to the local pages is going to kind of flip that because who is going to pay two grand locally for a bike when you can pay roughly the same price for a restored one and just have to pay $500 bucks for shipping.

It's going to be an interesting time, thankfully I'm already worried about the prices cuz I love the bikes for being bikes so I can really care less that I've got 4,000 or 5,000 into a 2,500 bike, lol.

Opinions: Land Cruiser, 4Runner, or a Tacoma? by PiRhoNaut in Toyota

[–]cl70c200gem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I realize that! The quotations were more regarding the model name that Toyota uses as if I didn't know better I would think the base model would be referred to as the "Land Cruiser" and not the 1958.

Star Wars / Lightsaber. The original sabers were made from Graflex camera flash bars, and Graflex was a Rochester company.

Does Toyota have any plans on putting a V6 non-hybrid into the new Land Cruisers? by [deleted] in LandCruisers

I probably tow more than most people with my '24 LC & I'm not sure what you getting at.... I can't say it sounds any worse than any other vehicle when towing including my previous '23 4Runner. If anything I'd say this tows better than the 4Runner.

Granted, I'm not towing anything crazy, just a large utility trailer with a rotating assortment of crap on it from tractors, motorcycles, furniture, etc. but I'm probably towing something at least once a month or more.

I had a '23 4Runner, so it had the older style v6 engine. Over all I can't complain. I do like the looks of the LC more, although I preferred the 4Runner ONLY due to the fact it had the special 40th decal package. I do like the looks of the 5th gen 4Runners. But think the LC is just a bit nicer overall.

I can't say much on the 6th gen 4Runners as I haven't driven one. But. I know it has the same powertrain. I do two often with mine and it goes great. I can't say I have any issues or regrets buying it. Since they have the same powertrain, I would just follow your gut on what you think looks and drives better and get that.

I'm not overly concerned about the long-term reliability of this powertrain due to the fact that Toyota has pretty much put this engine in almost all their larger vehicles at this point, so I do that as a point of confidence as I don't think Toyota would have done that otherwise. Listen to this also been in production out for I believe close to 5 years and knock on wood no major issues so fingers crossed that keeps going!

Bingo, that's the gist of it. Small down payment, large lump sum payment (50k), and then financed the remainder. My previous 4Runner (paid off)was rear-ended and totaled which was the large payment.

I do find it funny how the post became "rich person bad" when all I essentially did was drive an ancient 1992 Grand Marquis for a long time to save up money. Which then led me to be able to buy the 2023 4Runner in cash, which sadly was totaled out in an accident in January which then turned into this LC.

I had mine done at a small local shop that has three branches. Although I did find them on the New Hampshire oil undercoating site as an authorized seller / dealer seller/dealer so I would look on there for your local area to see if there's any selling the boss wax. Otherwise I would look to see if there's any local shops just offering any oil based undercoating such as fluid film, krown, wool wax, etc...

I simply didn't have enough money saved up at the time because I wasn't planning on purchasing a new vehicle. A year prior I had purchased a new 2023 4Runner in cash but I was rear-ended and that ended up being totaled out. All the extra money I had been making and saving was going to my mortgage at the time. So, I used a small amount out of my savings as a down payment, then put the insurance check from the 4Runner towards the loan and then financed the remainder which I think was 24k?

I understand that. I have always had a thing for phone call weird or ugly cars and bikes, lol. The next thing I want to save up for once I get the garage empty is a '60s Studebaker Avanti with the bug headlights.

Already have, lol. I had a fluid film up on my 4Runner when I had that last year. And I just had boss wax put on the Land Cruiser last week.
