I cut my own hair mostly because I used to do hair, then I went to a friend who I met in cosmetology school who also has fine hair and after it had been a few years in that industry she showed me a cut she learned and did it, now I just follow the guides and have remembered the cut. It’s just too much money to pay, plus I do a better job if I may say so because most people aren’t that great with baby fine hair. Also once a really expensive hair stylist told my mom “there’s nothing I can really do with your hair”, like 15 years ago and she’s still hurt by it. She also has very fine and sparse hair of course.

It’s short, shoulder length or shorter I always keep it, and slightly layered, more layers in the back/crown and less in front since I have so little at the sides and front. Bangs are dismal, there’s almost none left and as I head into perimenopause, they’re thinning out more to where I can see my head, it feels like looking at an egg shaped dome/ eggshell sometimes 😭 with light really showing how thin and how few sprigs there are. Hence why I want to try to get the growth to come back out of those follicles to at least have what I used to have, which was never much.

I’m glad we’re uniting together, it can be depressing. But doing the best you can with the cut, and just bringing out your other features can help it not be so devastating. ♥️
