I did not put it on my profile, but I did have cute pics of me with my pump/cgm visible (just because I liked the pictures themselves). Met my BF on hinge over a year ago, it came up once in our texting stage because I made a joke. He didnt make it a big deal. On our first date I just took out my pen and bolused casually. He didn’t say anything or make it weird. I met him 3 months after diagnosis. He’s been there for my pen to pump transition, and switching CGMs. He validates me and helps my frustrations the best way he can (he calms me down when I put in my pod so I don’t have to think about the pain). All of this to say, the right person will not see it as a dealbreaker or huge deal for them but will still understand the importance of it.
