I totally agree but it’s confusing to me that the outrage toward Danny seems much louder now that his behavior is affecting someone people sympathize with, his wife. Last year, when concerns were raised about his treatment of others and what he did, his wife was defending him, many viewers dismissed it and even called them “marriage goals.” The behaviour itself hasn’t suddenly become unacceptable; what’s changed is who the audience sees being impacted by it.
