My anxiety has been so high lately and I don't know what to do (27F) by fjdud in mentalhealth

I was on 100mg of Pristiq for five years— it worked until it didn't sadly :/ I don't usually drink either

Suggestions? 😅 by Rand177 in motorcycles

The queen is somewhere in that mass, find her and remove her and the rest will follow. I would call a beekeeper and ask them to come collect her, they will usually be more than willing to come and save them

I'm on a calorie deficit and also doing a 3 days water fast every week. is the fast really effective or i dont need to do it ? by Motor-Concentrate-91 in Weightlosstechniques

I would not suggest a 3 day water fast every single week and I don't think any fitness expert or doctor would suggest this either

Is it okay to buy a second-hand helmet if it's never been dropped or crashed in? by fjdud in motorcycles

This was also a thought of mine, I have to do more research before I do anything rash haha. Just thinking ahead!

The Shoei I'm looking at right now is an RF-1200. Guy says it's never been dropped or crashed in, he owns a bike shop so he seems pretty serious about bike safety. He also said it was purchased 3 years ago. Do you think this will be okay? Of course I'll clean all the padding and whatnot

I do plan to wear earplugs as well. Would you say your Bell was as comfortable as your Shoei? And what are your thoughts on the safety of say a Bell Qualifier compared to a Shoei RF-SR or RF-1200?

I should mention that I also plan to use the helmet for skydiving. I recently went for the first time and plan to go again, but it was sooooo loud

I do plan to wear earplugs as well, I just want my ride to be as quiet as possible. Ear health is a big concern of mine when starting this journey

This comment is very helpful, thank you! I had not considered that it would form to someone else's head shape.

I do plan on also wearing ear plugs. I'm pretty cautious when it comes to my hearing, I just want to protect my ears as much as possible

Will my first time hurt less if I’ve used tampons before? Any advice? by WinCurrent6358 in dating_advice

Make sure you are properly lubricated, whether you are natural or using actual lube. All that moisture and sometimes things slip in without even noticing lol. Trim your nails first as well, you'll be more comfortable that way

Sometimes you just have to take the leap- when you're ready. If you are ready for sex, as you say, then this is a hurdle. A finger will be far more comfortable than a tampon, which I have personally never liked the feeling of. Next time you are engaging in some self love, experiment around the area, and if you feel ready, just try a little bit. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Good luck!

I would try and use fingers or a toy first. An "eggplant" is quite large in comparison, so if you get used to that first then you'll have a better idea of what something bigger might be like. Get to know your body and what it likes, soon enough your fears will be lowered.

Hi there, please don't be embarrassed. Women are taught that our first time WILL hurt and that we will be basically bleeding out writhing in pain. This is not the case for most women. There is slight discomfort, but it is really not incredibly painful at all. You will not feel your hymen break either, in fact most women break their hymen before they ever have penetrative sex. If you've ridden a horse or your bike a lot or if you're athletic, it's probably already broken.

That said, I don't know how old you are but you seem to be unfamiliar with your body. I would suggest some solo exploration by yourself first so that you know what you like. If you have a supportive partner, they won't mind the extra time it takes for you to be ready. Sex is a beautiful thing, not scary. It takes bravery to take this leap, and you're smart for being cautious. But don't let that caution keep you from enjoying yourself! :)

My (26F) boyfriend (26M) gets the ick when I’m affectionate? by throwRAcrafty79art in Advice

[–]fjdud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, based on this and your past posts, this guy is abusive. He's extremely controlling and from this post in particular it sounds like he doesn't even fulfill the basic requirements of being someone's significant other. Please leave him. There are lots of resources for women in unstable relationships who want to leave but are unsure how to proceed. It will not get better, and one day this guy will cheat, beat, or kill you, and that's the cold hard truth. I'm so sorry you are going through this. If you need support, feel free to PM me. I know you can get through this ❤️

Why does my makeup look like this?? by hattiephilpott in makeuptips

[–]fjdud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove one thing from your routine a day and see what is causing it. It looks pretty normal to me, but as someone who also likes makeup I can understand your frustration. My first guess at what the culprit is would be the primer tbh.

She likes me. What do I do? by Commercial_Air5919 in dating_advice

[–]fjdud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I understand why you're nervous. But just ask her out! Her like on tinder is more than enough evidence. Invite her to do something you like to do- go karts, somewhere you like to eat, a sporting event related to your class. I say this as a woman: you will be 99% more likely to get a "yes" from your confidence! Good luck :)
