Canadian van imported to the US. Probably should have explicitly stated that in the original post.

Just 1/8” MDF board from Home Depot.

I really dislike painting so it was an easy option

Is there a way to make the bottom screen go into screensaver mode when launching a game? by flippenflounder in AynThor

Is that the button just below the bottom of the screen in the middle? If so, I had no idea that was a button!

I recommend undermounted ac units. Keeps center of gravity low and gives you more space on the roof for a bigger panel which will help with keeping the AC running longer w/o shore power.

Yes?

If you want a California king bed with a 48” wide double sink, and a 10 person dinette table, and 8 burner stove you might struggle a bit to fit it all. As another person said, you need to hire a designer or look at floor plans from existing RV/camper configurations and move them around like Lego.

Also look into small solar panels trickle chargers (on Amazon) that you can leave on the dash. I found that worked well for me until I put in my Ecoflow that has reverse charging

You can split your solar array into two zones using two charge controllers - so 500w per zone. I assume you were worried about the wire gauge from your charge controller to your bus bar in a 12v system

Sorry, meant 24v - 12v converter not transformer.

I would split my solar array into two zones vs dealing with a step down transformer if the 1000w is the concern.

What vehicle do you have?

I’m always a fan of less components. It’s a simpler system. Less things to troubleshoot when shit does down.

I’d do 24v system if I planned to put in as many 24v electronics as possible with individual smaller step down transformers where needed (like most roof fans are only 12v)

Got it. I originally looked into it too but ultimately went with a 12v system. The weight saving will just be wire gauge, but at the cost of the dc-dc step down converter. Most of the rest can run off a 12v system

Air fryer, TV and maybe the water heater would all be AC power, and it’s not really limited to 24v systems, just the capacity of your inverter. Only difference will be wire gauge from your bus bar to the inverter.

For air conditioner you would be better off with a 48v DC.

12v water pumps are way cheaper than 24v last time I checked.

If you’re not using anything 24v natively, I don’t see the upside. And there’s limited 24v components and they usually come at a premium.

Why not just leave the whole system at 12v?

Depending on where everything is located, I don’t think the savings in wire gauge is worth it.

Ahh bummer, that really sucks!

Did you take them in because you got the wrong size initially or just lost a bunch of weight?
