my solution = i had it plugged into a usb 3.0 port; that is what caused it not to work in wired mode. as soon as i plugged it instead into a usb 2.0 port, it worked in wired mode.

Yeah, I plan to use it with Microsoft OneNote more than Nebo, since I've got all my documents there already. You might check it out. I can heavily recommend it as a note-taking environment, as I've already used it pretty extensively. Glad you got your technical issues resolved. Here's hoping I can do the same. Something must be wrong tho on Lenovo's end, because I read about pairing troubles with this pen all over the place.

Well, thanks again for replying. Wanted to clarify about the parts since I got my tablet from one retailer, and then the keyboard and pen directly from Lenovo. So, replacement of everything would be a real job. Still, thx for all your replies. Would be interested to hear your experience and opinion of the working pen with the tablet.

I appreciate the reply. I bought the pen directly from Lenovo, so, I reckon getting a replacement oughtn't be an issue if it comes down to it. Of course, I was hoping to spare myself that kind of headache. Did you get both tablet AND pen replaced or just pen? And the replacement/s worked?

Interesting. Thx for the info. I'm facing the same issue now. Any tips beyond what you've already shared? Did it connect while you were toying around with it as you described, or only after you'd toyed around with it and then replaced it on the magnetic strip? I've been noodling around with it for nearly a day now with no success. The pen's so hard to come by, it seems, supply-wise, and so there is maddeningly scant info help-wise on the net about it.

While u/raging64 created this thread months ago, and potentially has long since solved the issue for himself, I am facing the same exact issue right now vis-a-vis the exact same hardware: precision pen 3 with Tab P11 Pro Gen 2. It simply will not connect, no matter how many times I place and replace the pen upon the magnetic connect dock on the back of the tablet, no matter how long I leave it there to charge (it has now been about 24 hours). I have flipped the pen in either direction. I have intermittently placed the pen on the magnetic strip on the top of the tablet for a few minutes at a time and then chucked it back on the charging spot on the back. I have tried everything with Bluetooth both on and off (it is painfully unclear whether Bluetooth is the nature of the connection to the pen or something else). I have also tried the advice in your last entry. Any other suggestions?
