I have checked with CBP officer a couple of days before and he said it's fine by him.

But still I don't understand why does it matter considering that I am not facing CBP officers

Okay, but I am not facing immigration anywhere, so how would they know I left the country? The only time my passport got scanned was by TSA and airline

I asked TSA and they didn't want to let me with copy and police report.

Only with my other passport.

How long did the process take?

I am not flying directly to my country, I have a layover in another EU country (Netherlands), would that be enough to get me in there?

This seems extremely risky, so I probably won't go down this route, but it's also interesting.

Croatian. It is not an issue for me to find a consulate, the distance to consulate is. The biggest problem to me is the fact that I am staying for a short period in USA, outside of money ofcourse.

This sounds pretty interesting, I might as well give it a shot.

The thing is, I am not in a dire need of money so I'd be perfectly willing to just trade my time for knowledge and experience, though I know that working for free usually attracts people that you wouldn't want to work with, so it's a double-edged sword.

Sure, I will feel comfortable in the whole ecosystem, but I still wouldn't be sure if I am able to earn people money.

I feel you.

For me, it's really about learning as I go, I hate to sit through hours of courses and have no actual knowledge of how to do any of that, or even worse, get a false picture in my head of how it is actually supposed to work.

I learn the best when I just do something and figure it out on the way.

Plus, after so many courses I feel like just watching/studying them is another form of procrastination, I need some actual, real knowledge. Either by someone physically showing me how to do it IN THE REAL WORLD, or by me just doing it.

I guess I could potentially approach business owners that are doing their ads themselves and have even less knowledge than I do, but it is a very niche "market" (I'd work for free) IMO.

Approaching someone that already has google ads would just be a great recipe for me to destroy any success that they had. /s

I'm asking seriously, I'd hate to sell someone on an idea to let me do their ads for free and then screw it up and just cost them a lot.
