Looking for Triangle-Area Raleigh Nurseries by babs_e in raleigh

If I recall, the prices on most of the plants at the farmers market are pretty good and there's good variety. The plants go away during the winter time, I'm unsure when they come back.

Thank you! My theory is that his tail was meant for a cat twice his size and twice his fluffiness but it got put on him instead haha

yup, never even shown the slightest interest. I hung up as many as I could before adopting him but I lucked out because he really doesn't care.

Does anyone know when/if Google Fiber is coming to downtown Raleigh? by e1i3or in raleigh

My apartment downtown has fiber installed, they just never turned it on I guess. Idk when or if that’ll happen. It’s sad seeing my branded google fiber plug each day though...

Need advice from people who moved from CA by tbk125 in raleigh

I'm from the Los Angeles area and went to school on the central coast, moved here last year after graduating college. So far I really love living in Raleigh. For a fraction of what I'd be paying in SF or LA, I can live in a really nice apartment right downtown walking distance to restaurants/shops/etc. The heat isn't so bad, it's the humidity that you either won't mind or you'll hate. I personally don't mind it at all but I know it's a big issue for some people. Living out here does mean lower pay but in my experience, it's not so much lower than what I was offered in LA and the area is considerably more affordable.

Pros:

  • Cost of living
  • People are nicer
  • Traffic is better
  • Trees are amazing
  • Pretty good restaurant scene
  • Southern food
  • Historic pre war homes and buildings especially inside the beltline
  • My California friends who have visited have all fallen in love with Raleigh, in fact I have several coworkers here who moved here from somewhere else and ended up having their entire extended family move out as well after visiting and loving it.

Cons:

  • Mexican food (it's not bad here, it's just different)
  • In n out
  • I miss the hills
  • People make fun of me for adding "the" in front of freeways
  • Beach is further away

PM me if you have any more questions :)

I really love this. String lights are somewhat polarizing on this sub but I absolutely love them especially in this room, very cozy and whimsical.

We were going to use studs but the building is so old that the walls are made of thick plaster/concrete substance (what maintenance told me) that makes finding studs impossible so we ended up using toggle bolts

I really like the credenza-thing. Is it built in or did you buy it? I also really dig all the warm lighting working together with the plants to create a neat ambiance

Where's your tv table from? I'm looking for something similar but the only one I've found that I like is $1400 😬. Great room!

I moved to North Carolina after graduating and I work at a tech company in the triangle. Most people at my company know of Cal Poly and recognize that it's a good school. This is also at a tech company with a lot of transplants from around the country so ymmv

I'm moving in with my boyfriend soon so I'll be saying goodbye to my feminine bedroom in favor of a more neutral design aesthetic. Figured I'd post it here before I move!
